She could hear Joanne play her guitar every afternoon when they got home from school. And she could hear Tommy practice the piano for hours at a time. Sylvia had a sweet singing voice.
“There is so much talent right on this street ,” Kara said to her mother. “I wish everyone could see and hear all the great
things. ”
“Have you ever thought about setting up a talent show?” her mother said. “So all the kids can show what they can do. ”
“A great idea, Mom ,” Kara said. Soon Kara started to
prepare for the talent show. To attract as many people as possible, Kara made some beautiful posters and put them up all around her neighborhood. Soon, everyone was talking about what they were going to do in the show.
Kara was pleased that everyone wanted to be in her talent show. But she couldn't help feeling a little sad. “I wish I had a talent so I could be in the show, too ,” she told her mother.
Her mother smiled. “I think you will discover something about yourself by the end of the day ,” she said.
Kara went to the park a little earlier and set up a small stage for the performers. Everyone brought chairs to sit on. Soon Kara's friends began to perform one by one. The audience cheered loudly after each act. When it was over, everyone told Kara how

“Going on holiday with blind people opens your eyes ,”
says Wendy Coley. She often goes on tours with Travel Eyes, a company that takes tourists traveling around the world. For each tour, half of the people can see and half can't. A person who can see travels with a person who can't. The world is there for sighted (有视力的) people but that can cause problems for the blind. So, sighted members might describe the size and color of a building,
or the smiles of strangers passing by. They might explain the food, “Our lunch is a sandwich in the center of your plate, and chips in a bowl to the right of your plate. ”
Clearly, it is good for blind travelers. They are able to learn
about new places and make new friends. “You don't worry about danger any more. That's really important ,” says Jenny Tween, a blind tourist. But it is also of benefit to sighted travelers. Wendy is one of them. She says that when you describe what you see, you
see things in a very different way. The tour manager Hannah
Vince agrees, “Sighted people learn a lot from these trips. It's a
two--way thing. ” Traveling with blind people and describing the world to them makes sighted people go more slowly and look
more closely at colors, shapes, and the sizes of things. Blind
people can also help sighted people find more about the smells of food or flowers, and the sounds of music or traffic.
In the end, this isn't a story about people who can see helping people who can't. It's about people with different abilities showing each other new ways of experiencing the world and meeting new friends.
61. ( C )What do we know about tours with Travel Eyes
A .Most of the tourists are blind people.
B .They are organized by Wendy Coley.
C .A blind person travels with a sighted person.
D .Blind people join in the tours at half the price.
62. ( D )What does the underlined word “They” in Paragraph 1 refer to
A .Tourists. B .Strangers.
C .Blind people. D .Sighted members.
63. ( A )How does Jenny Tween feel during the tours
A .Safe.
B .Sleepy.
C .Nervous.
D .Surprised.
64. ( D )What benefit do sighted people get from the tours
A .They cook better.
B .They walk faster.
C .They speak louder.
D .They notice more.
65. ( A )What would be the best title for the passage
A .Shared Travel
B .Help Blind People
C .Happy Holiday
D .Travel Around the World

A Special Day to Remember
Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. Last winter, I experienced an unforgettable day.
It was my 14th birthday, and I thought it would be ordinary. However, my classmates surprised me with a secret party during lunch break. They decorated the classroom with
balloons and gave me handmade cards. Even my teacher joined in, bringing a cake!
I felt overjoyed and deeply touched. Their kindness made me realize how lucky I was to have such warm friendships. That day taught me that small acts of love can turn ordinary moments into treasures.
Now, whenever I feel down, I recall that special day and smile. Life's sweetness often hides in simple surprises!

B .Sleepy.
C .Nervous.
D .Surprised.
64. ( D )What benefit do sighted people get from the tours
A .They cook better.
B .They walk faster.
C .They speak louder.
D .They notice more.
65. ( A )What would be the best title for the passage
A .Shared Travel
B .Help Blind People

“Going on holiday with blind people opens your eyes,” says Wendy Coley.
They are able to learn about new places and make new friends. “You don't worry about danger any more. That's really important,” says Jenny Tween, a blind tourist. But it is also of benefit to sighted travelers. Wendy is one of them. She says that when you describe what you see, you see things in a very different way. The tour manager Hannah Vince agrees, “Sighted people learn a lot from these trips. It's a
two- way thing. ” Traveling with blind people and describing the world to them makes sighted people go more slowly and look more closely at colors, shapes, and the sizes of things. Blind people can also help sighted people find more about the smells of food or flowers, and the sounds of music or traffic.
In the end, this isn't a story about people who can see helping people who can't. It's about people with different abilities showing each other new ways of experiencing the world and meeting new friends.
61. ( )What do we know about tours with Travel Eyes

First, places with no grass are better choices for camping, and you should watch your steps when hiking. Second, never leave rubbish behind. Put away your food bags, cans or leftovers. Whatever you take in, take it out. Third, build your fire in a right place. Never build it when it's too dry or windy. Finally, stay at least 100 meters away from wild animals. Getting too close could be dangerous. And remember not to feed them anything.
Take care of nature and enjoy yourselves.
