interviewing someoneWhen you are conducting an interview, you need to organize your interview and your questions in a certain way. The first thing you need to do is to introduce yourself and to thank the other person for agreeing to be interviewed,

First, I’d like to thank you for agreeing to this interview.Then you need to explain why you are doing
the interview and what you want to find out.I’m doing this interview to

about…After this, you can start to ask questions. Ask general questions first and then more detailed ones, e.g.,What is the present situation regarding young people and short-sightedness?

We are investigating a problem - short-sightedness, which is very common among Chinese teenagers today. We have interviewed a doctor in out city about what parents and students can do to protect students’ eyesight. The doctor strongly suggests that every year students’ eyes should be tested to identify any problems, and they should not read in bed with poor lighting as well.Possible example:Apart from this, we’ve also made a survey on
the measures they take in No. 1 and No.9 Secondary Schools. They both have taken steps to protect students’ eyesight such as pausing in the middle of lessons and asking students to look out of the window at distant objects, introducing the proper manner of holding book to students and advising them to eye exercises both at school and at home.
