教学目标
1.To further consolidate knowledge of Unit 1 2.To analyze the article using reading strategies 3.To put what we learned into writing a continuation writing
教学重点:Students will be able to acquire how to analyze the material and construct the story based on it. 教学难点:Students may find it hard to write the continuation writing by using what we have learned reasonably.
教学过程
Step I:Warming up Activity1: Invite students to play a game together. First , ask students to raise their two fists,and clap together ,and then ask them what’s their feeling Next,ask students to raise a fist and a palm, and clap and then ask their feeling Finally,ask them raise their two palms,and clap, and then ask their feeling. Purpose: to let students invovled in the class quickly and lead-in the topic of this class. Activity 2: Task 1:Ask students to find the similarity in the last three years College Entrance Exams continuation writings. Purpose: Stress the importance on the theme “Human and Self ” in CEE continuation writing. Task 2:Tell students Big Concepts in this unit and ask them what we have learnt in this module. Purpose: Let students have a general idea of what we learned in this unit and use the knowledge to solve the problems on “Human and Self”. Step II: Consolidation (5mins) Task 1: Let students do some exercises about how to describe a person. Task 2: Have students to think how can we describe a person from different aspects. Purpose:Expand students’ thinking that they can describe a person from different aspects in continuation writing. Task3. Ask students how to resolve conflicts by connect with Book 1 Unit 3. Purpose:Let students connect what we learned before and use the knowledge to solve the conflicts. Step III:Before writing (13 mins) Task 1(8 mins): Have students read passage and analyze the characters and plots of the passage Purpose:Help students get the main idea of the passage and grasp the important information. Task 2(5 mins): Have students discuss with their group members to figure out content of the continuation parts. Purpose:Guide students how to construct their continuation writing by giving some key points. Step IV:While writing (15 mins) Show students the basic clues of the two continuation Paras. Porpose:Put what we have learnt into practice and give students enough time to think and write by themselves. Step V:After writing (9 mins) Task 1 (6 mins):Ask 1-2 students to share their works.Then Find other students to make a comment on the work.Teacher make comments.Let students have a self-evaluation. Purpose:Let students check whether they meet the standard of a good continuation for further improvement. Task 2 ( 3 mins ): Play a video about this topic,and the ask students to share their opinions. Purpose:Stimulate the theme of this unit,and raise students awareness of happy relationship and positive conflicts solving.

Task 2: Play a video about this topic,and the ask students to share their opinions. Students enjoy the video and then share their ideas with the class.Stimulate the theme of this unit,and raise students awareness of happy relationship and positive conflicts solving.
教学反思
Strengths: 1.Students have a better understanding of the theme and big concepts of this unit. 2.Students mater the ways to analyze and construct a passage. Weakness: More time should be given to students to internalize what they’ve read and learned.
