Born into a poor aristocratic(贵族的) family in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Tao Yuanming (365-427) was one of China’s greatest poets and a noted recluse(隐士). A master of the five-word line, Tao has been described as the first great “poet of fields and gardens”.
陶渊明(365-427)出生于东晋一个贫穷的贵族家庭,是中国最伟大的诗人之一,也是一位著名的隐士。作为五字行的大师,陶被描述为第一位伟大的“田园诗人”。

Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) was an American essayist, poet, and philosopher. He began writing nature poetry in his early twenties, with poet Ralph Waldo Emerson as a mentor(导师) and friend. In 1845, he began his famous two-year stay at Walden Pond, which he wrote about in his masterwork, Walden.
亨利·大卫·梭罗(1817-1862)是美国散文家、诗人和哲学家。20岁出头,他开始创作自然诗歌,诗人拉尔夫·沃尔多·爱默生是他的导师和朋友。1845年,他开始了他在瓦尔登湖著名的两年逗留,并在他的杰作《瓦尔登湖》中写到了这一点。
