We could also say

We could also say

a variety of: different kinds of 各种各样的;variety前可用great, wide等形容词来修饰。
eg The island offers such a wide variety of scenery and wildlife.
The journey gave him the chance to study various living things in their natural environments.
Read Para. 2 and find a word that has the similar meaning with “a variety of”.
variety的形容词形式
强调句的基本结构 :It is / was + 被强调部分 + that /who (指人时可用) …。可以强调主语、宾语、表语、状语等。
eg It is Tom who / that is in charge of the class.
It was at the school gate that I met my English teacher.
Was it Bill who / that found the answer
I do like this performance.
强调句通常不用来强调谓语。若是强调谓语时,可用do / does / did。
【语境应用】根据要求翻译句子。

adj. not likely to be completely true

eg The suspect is being held at the police station for questioning.
Some of the evidence they produced was highly suspect.
doubt: to feel uncertain about something; to feel that something is not true, will probably not happen, etc. 怀疑;不确定,不相信
10. It was not published until 1859 and immediately caused a storm.
cause/create a storm: 引起风暴,引起轰动
eg The newspaper is in declining years. They don’t care; they quite like to cause a storm.

We could also say
