Do animals communicate with each other How do they communicate with others I did some research and, to my surprise, I learned that all animals communicate. They don’t use language, but they send messages to each other. Animals communicate with each other in three main ways: through sounds, smells, and body language.
The alarm call is one way. When an enemy is near, animals send out a warning sound. Others hear it and run to a safe place or get together to fight the enemy. Whales are famous for their ability to communicate from far away with special sounds. In their own social groups, whales understand what they’re saying to each other.
Smell is another popular way for animals to communicate. Some animals, such as the amoeba (变形虫), send out a smell to tell other amoebas it’s going to have babies. Skunks send out an odor (气味) when they feel they are in danger.
Many animals use body language to communicate. Chimpanzees (黑猩猩) touch hands when they meet. A happy dog moves its tail from side to side. Even people understand this form of dog body language.
People develop their own ways of communicating, using words and sentences. But if you watch other animals carefully, you quickly come to understand that they also have ways of sending their messages.

A lot of people take up dancing as a hobby in their free time. In fact, many people have found that dancing can make them feel better both physically and mentally. Why is dancing so helpful
When we dance, we move our bodies to different kinds of music. This movement helps our bodies produce more endorphins, a chemical that makes us feel relaxed and happy. It’s like our body’s own “feel-good” medicine.
Dancing is a mix of music and sports. While simply listening to music or doing sports can cheer us up, mixing them together gives better results. In a study, a group of German scientists carefully chose a number of patients with different levels of depression (沮丧). They tested these patients under three conditions: a group dancing with music, a group just listening to music, and a group riding bikes without music. The results showed that the first group was the least depressed.
Dancing can bring people together, too. Tango, Latin dance or other social dancing requires us to move with others, which can improve our sense of social connection, according to IBSA, a Swiss scientific foundation.
Studies have found that depression often has to do with sadness about the past or worry about the future. However, dancing helps you focus on the present, connect with your body and free your mind for a while. In this way, it helps us forget bad feelings.
Lauren Helper, a social worker in the US, said that dancing can be any form. You can dance at home when you listen to your favorite song, or you can go out and dance with friends. The most important thing is to have fun no matter who you are. Dancing is a wonderful way to boost your feelings and live a happier life.

The hot pot is one of the most popular meals in China. 73 The hot pot used to be preferred in winter, but recently it has been appearing on tables all year round.
Apart from its delicious taste, there are two other important reasons for the Chinese to like the hot pot. The first one is that the hot pot is considered a great way to make new friends. People gather around the pot, chatting, eating, drinking and having fun. 74 Eating the hot pot can warm the body and improve circulation (血液循环) in winter, and increase perspiration (排汗) to help cool the body in summer.
75 Two of the most popular hot pots are Sichuan hot pot and Beijing mutton hot pot. Sichuan hot pot is famous for its numbing and spicy (又麻又辣的) taste, due to the addition of some special food materials—Sichuan pepper and other spicy things like chili (辣椒). 76 Beijing mutton hot pot is the most popular hot pot in the northern China hot pots. Mutton is its main part and the soup is made from meat bones.
When you eat a hot pot in a restaurant, generally, there are two types of soup bases: spicy and clear. A clear soup base has a quite light taste. 77 A spicy soup base usually has Sichuan pepper, which is spicy and salty.
If you have a mixed group with some who don’t eat spicy food, there is a special pot with a divider in the middle between the spicy and clear soup, which is called a double-flavor hot pot (鸳鸯锅).
A.It’s made from seafood or meat bones.
B.It has a long history of about 2,000 years.
C.The other is that the hot pot is a “healthy meal”.
D.Pepper and chili make it different from other hot pots.
