Jim Martin walked slowly on his way to Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Filled with excitement, he was still nervous. After all, it was his first day of school as a teacher.
As Jim passed through the school gate, a memory hit him. It was about Mrs. Peabody’s English class. Mrs. Peabody gave the class a writing task. Students were asked to write about their summer vacation. Jim didn’t want to write a stupid essay about his vacation: a water park, two weeks of camp, and his homework. It was boring. He chose to write a science fiction short story instead. It was about a planet that didn’t have summer—it was spring all the time. He handed in his story but was worried that he would get an F.
When he got to class the next morning, to his surprise, Mrs. Peabody praised him for his creativity and imagination. She said, “Just one of you had the courage to be as imaginative as I asked you to be. Jim Martin is the only one who got an A on the task. Now I’m going to ask him to come up here and read his story to you, though he should have paid a little more attention to proper spelling and grammar.”
Hands shaking, Jim walked to the front of the classroom gleefully, as if he were the first person to step onto the surface of Mars. Though it sounded like a small thing, that moment made a great difference to him.
As Jim walked through the crowded hallway, similar memories came flooding back. Coach LaBell taught him how to control his anger before he wanted to fight with another boy. Mr. Carter taught him to love the process of learning, not just the subject itself.
Jim hoped that he would make a difference to his students like what his teachers had done. The bell rang.
He took a deep breath and walked into the classroom. “Good morning, everyone,” he said.

Today’s Topic: Do you think AI is a better teacher than parents Zhang Xiaowen Posted 3 days ago
Song Zexi, 14 May 1 #1
I believe parents are better teachers than AI. First, our parents are closer to us. When we feel worried, they can give us emotional (情感的) support. Also, our parents have more real-life experience than AI. With their help, we can deal with stress better and develop a more positive attitude (态度) toward life. Although AI provides perfect answers, I would still choose my parents as my teachers. They not only help with my studies but also offer love and support in difficult times. AI is a great tool, but it can never replace the close relationship between parents and children. View (318) Likes (29)
Miao Mucheng, 14 May 6 #4
I think AI is a better teacher than parents. Unlike parents, AI always stays calm and patient. This helps families avoid arguments, which not only improves the parent-child relationship but also makes learning more efficient (高效的). AI is also a smart tool that can quickly collect a lot of information and offer more correct and different ways to solve study problems. Plus, AI is always ready and never gets tired, making learning easier and more convenient. View (200) Likes (15)
Li Yufan, 15 May 25 #16
When I have trouble with math, AI gives me step-by-step help without losing patience. That makes me feel good. However, parents have something special. They love and care for us in ways that go beyond studying. My mother sometimes gets angry, but after she shouts, she also makes me feel better with hugs and kind words. She understands my strengths and weaknesses from everyday life and always thinks about my feelings. In the end, although AI is dependable and helpful for studying, it can never replace my parents, who play an important role in every part of my life. View (113) Likes(32)

My Eco-Friendly Campus Project
I have designed an environmental protection project to make our school greener.
For energy-saving measures, besides turning off lights when not in use, we’ll also set up a system to remind us to turn off the electrical devices which are not used.
When it comes to green education activities, we will not only organize eco-workshops every month, but also hold a “Green Creativity Competition” each term in order to encourage students to make handicrafts from recycled materials.
As far as I’m concerned, this project is so meaningful that it helps us develop green habits in daily life.
