English animal sayings are short and interesting, and they all come from animals’ daily habits. We learn these sayings in our Grade Four English class, and our teacher Miss White tells us they can make our English talk and writing more vivid (生动的). Right now, our class is having an English lesson about animal sayings. My Animal Saying Card
I am making a lovely animal saying card these days. The saying on it is “busy as a bee”. It means someone works very hard, just like a little bee that is always busy making sweet honey.
I draw a cute yellow bee on the card. It flies over pink and yellow flowers, and I write down its clear meaning and a daily example, “My mom is busy as a bee every day”.
I often share my card with my classmates after class. They show me their own animal saying cards too, such as “quiet as a mouse” and “clever as a fox”. We always put all our cards together to make a small class handbook. It is really fun to learn English with these lovely animal saying cards, and we all enjoy this way of studying!
