一、构成
(限定词)+(前置修饰语)+名词+(后置修饰语)

二、作用
名词短语在句中与名词功能相似,一般用作主语、表语、宾语或宾语补足语、同位语和状语。
1.做主语
Children at play seldom remember what time it is.
玩耍的孩子往往会忘记时间。
The children quarrelling over the game each insisted that the other was unfair.
为了比赛争吵的孩子们每人都坚持认为对方是不公平的。
2.做表语
That is an attractive black table.
那是一张好看的黑色桌子。
3.做宾语
They gave their son the first-rate education.
他们给了儿子一流的教育。
We teachers should be concerned about the students’ moral culture.
我们做老师的应该关心学生的道德文化。
4.做宾语补足语
They elected him monitor of the class.
他们选他当班长。
5.做同位语
Mr Brown,director of the coal mine,should be responsible for the accident.
布朗先生,是矿长,应该为这起事故负责。
6.做状语

一、定义
副词短语是指由几个副词或副词及其修饰语构成的短语。副词短语的主要作用是做状语,偶尔做定语。

我被他的行为深深感动了,以至于深夜还没有睡着。
二、构成
1.两个或多个副词可以由and,but等连词构成副词短语。
She types quickly and correctly.
她打字快且准确。
2.very,extremely等程度副词做修饰语,可与其他副词构成副词短语。
He runs extremely fast.
他跑得快极了。
He can finish that much quicker.
他能以快得多的速度完成那件事。
The teacher speaks clearly enough.
老师说得足够清楚。
