过去一些地方因为树木被砍伐等原因存在空气污染和水污染问题,现在政府通过采取一些有力措施,如立法,植树,鼓励步行等,已取得明显的改善。请就此情况写一篇报告。
注意:1.词数80左右;
2.可适当增加细节,以使行文连贯。

Environment is very important for our lives.In the past,there were many trees around us with fresh air and clean river.But later,things became bad in our neighbourhood.People cut down trees without limitation.Air pollution and water pollution were very serious.
A lot of measures such as planting trees,making laws concerning environmental protection and encouraging to ride a bike or walk to school and work have been taken.We have achieved many results.In my opinion, protecting environment should start with ourselves.Whenever we see litter on the ground,pick it up and throw it into dustbins.Never spit in public.Don’t draw on public walls.
All in all,we should encourage more people to protect the environment.
