it is/was someone’s first time(in)doing sth是固定句型,用来表示“这是某人第一次做某事”。
It is his first time visiting Zhengzhou. 这是他第一次游览郑州。
enjoy是动词,意为“享受;喜爱” 其后接动词时,要用其动词-ing形式。
My brother enjoys reading books. 我弟弟喜欢看书。
how to do many things themselves是“疑问词+动词不定式”结构。疑问词可以是how、what、when、where等。
You have to consider what to do next. 你必须考虑下一步该做什么。
7.Then he turned on the stove and left the oil to heat while he prepared the chicken. 然后他打开炉子,让油加热,同时他准备鸡肉。
turn on意为“打开”,是一个“动词+介词”短语。
拓展: turn的相关短语还有:
turn over 翻转 turn sour 变酸 turn back 折回;掉头
turn down 调低 turn up 调高 turn off 关闭
while 在此处作连词,意为“与……同时;当……的时候”,引导时间状语从句,从句常用进行时态。
While I was doing my homework, my father came back home fromwork. 当我正在做作业时,我父亲下班回家了。
拓展 when 可指一段时间,也可指时间点,while只指一段时间。

The 31-year-old woman, named Huang Lihong, and her 32-year-old husband Zhang Yong were on a tour to see the famous “blue fire” volcano, according to Chinese news outlet Hongxing News.
The tour guide brought the couple to the Ijen Crater at around 4 o’ clock in the morning, where they climbed to the edge of the crater (火山口边缘) to watch the sunrise.
The tour guide said he repeatedly warned the couple of great danger by standing near the crater, but Huang insisted on going closer because she had seen photos taken by her friends in the same place.
Huang had first chosen to take the photos about two to three metres away from the crater. Then she stepped backward, hoping to get closer to a tree behind her for a better shot. Unluckily, she reportedly tripped (绊倒) over the long skirt that she was wearing, losing her balance and falling off the cliff.
Indonesian police said Huang fell off a cliff with a height of about 75 meters and was found dead at the scene.
