What’s going to happen in the future Will robots control our planet Will computers become smarter than us Not likely. But here are some things that scientists say are most likely to happen in 10 — 30 years from now, according to the BBC.Bionic (仿生的) Eyes
They are no longer something, only in a science fiction movie. People who are blind may have a chance to see things clearly—by wearing bionic eyes.
A blind eye can no longer sense sight, but a bionic eye can use a camera to “see” the environment and send information to the mind. Now the bionic eye only allows patients to see lights and unclear shapes. A bionic eye with very clear pictures could be just in a few years away.Digital Money
We used to pay with cash (现金) for everything we bought. Now we can use WeChat Pay or Alipay to shop. Money is spent without seeing it. That means we are already using digital money. People only need to take a mobile phone wherever they go. Using these ways is much easier than searching our pockets for change. It is also safer than carrying a lot of cash.
It is reported that people in Sweden completely stopped using cash last year, and the US might be the next.Self-driving Cars
Unlike a human driver, a self-driving car won’t be influenced by a phone call, the radio or something outside the window. Sensors (探测器) and cameras on the car would allow it to follow the rules of the road strictly and keep a safe space from other cars. This would greatly make the number of road accidents smaller. You can even take a short rest while the car drives itself. In the future, driverless cars would be widely accepted.

Build homes in cyberspace
Building a country is never easy. It takes hard work from generation (一代人) to generation. But how about destroying it A new report from The Guardian said long time of climate change can do that.
The report said Tuvalu will be the first country to be completely lost due to climate change.
Tuvalu is a Pacific (太平洋) island nation with nine islands and 12,000 people. It has long been at risk from rising sea levels. Now, 40 percent of the area in its capital (首都) is underwater at high tide (高潮). By the end of the century, it is believed that all the islands will be underwater, reported Reuters. So many people in Tuvalu have often moved around the country and even to other countries.
To help with the problem, the country plans to build its country in the metaverse (元宇宙). The digital (数字化的) country will recreate the same landscape (景观) and keep its cultural and historical records. No matter where they live in the real world, the people in this country will have their identity (身份) and “live” in its online communities. The government hopes to manage and serve them in cyberspace (网络空间).
This news made many people in Tuvalu excited. But Li Zuxi, director of the metaverse lab of Qingbo Intelligent Technology, said it may not be the best solution.
“Though the digital nation belongs to Tuvalu, it’s still built on a metaverse platform (平台),” said Li. “Now, the metaverse is not mature, which may bring some problems.” He gave us an example. If people from other countries enter the space of the digital country but just show their names, how do people know if they do or do not truly belong to that country
Li added that instead of trying our best to build digital nations, it’s better to pay attention to saving the real world now.

A.Rising sea levels. B.A dropping population.
C.The low levels of high tide. D.There is not enough water to use.

28.What do we know about Tuvalu in the metaverse
A.People can find the same buildings as they are now.
B.The “new” Tuvalu is larger than the real one.
C.It has no records of culture and history.
D.People of the “new” Tuvalu have no identity.
29.What is Li Zuxi’s opinion about the news
A.The metaverse world is safe.
B.He fully supports the rebuilding of Tuvalu.
C.He calls for more countries to enter the metaverse.
D.It’s hard to manage a digital country.

阅读短文,简略回答问题。
Now, life has changed a lot. It may be difficult to predict (预测) the future, but many people believe that we will live on Mars (火星) by the year 2100. Our own planet, Earth, is becoming more and more crowded and polluted. Well, what problems will we need to solve before we prepare to go to Mars
First of all, transport should be much better. At present, humans need to spend a few months going to Mars by spaceship. However, by 2100, spaceships can travel at half the speed of light. It might take us two or three days to get there!
Moreover, humans need food, water and air to live. Scientists should develop plants that can be grown on Mars. These plants will produce the food, water and air that we need. However, there is no answer for all the problems now.
There is also a problem for us to live on Mars. Mars attracts us much less than the Earth does. This will be dangerous because we could easily jump too high and fly slowly away into space there. We will have to wear special shoes to make ourselves heavier.
In some ways, life on Mars may not be better than that on the earth today. Food will not be the same—meals will probably be in the form of pills and will not be as delicious as they are today. Also, space travel will probably make many people feel very uncomfortable.
71.When will we probably live on Mars
72.So far, how long does it take us from the earth to Mars by spaceship
73.Why should we develop plants that can be grown on Mars
74.What will we have to wear to keep ourselves heavier
