2.What can visitors do during the journey
A.Stay in a top grade homestay.
B.Travel with local government leaders.
C.Change an expedition guide.
D.Choose unscheduled transportation.
根据Transportation中的“When spending time...visit a site that requires transportation not in the schedule after informing your Expedition Leader.”
3.How much will a couple pay for a trip in March 2026 at least
A.$20,590. B.$15,790.
C.$8,295. D.$7,495.
根据文章表格中的“Mar.15-25,2026”一栏,DOUBLE OCCUPANCY一列和最后一段中的“Prices are per person based on double or single occupancy...bring you a saving of $400 per person.”

(2025·郑州第一次质检)A few years ago,we bought a Taj Mahal (泰姬陵) model for my dad's birthday, hoping to combine his love for architecture with family time.
Each evening,my dad and I gathered around the large dining table to build the model. We faced thousands of tiny white pieces, each packaged with precision in numbered plastic bags, accompanied by a thick instruction book.
The evenings passed quickly, and the building rose before our eyes.We could see our efforts producing good results, and as we turned to the boring task of ordering the colored bricks on the building's floor, our conversation too took a turn.
We were amazed by how complex the model and its instruction book were.We realized the book itself was a work of art, beautiful, but also surprisingly detailed and clear. It provided us with the comfort of certainty. We knew if we followed all the instructions,we would end up with a model that looked exactly like the picture on the box.If we made a mistake, all we had to do was to repeat our steps and start again.
Life, however, does not fit together so neatly and rarely provides us with such clear instructions. We talked over our respective lives, decisions made, and actions and choices never taken.Dad reflected on a life well lived, and I,in my mid-thirties,on the uncertain path that lay ahead.
Here,we were the expert architects doing the assembling (组装),but out in the world,we were the ones being assembled. We think we're in control, but our choices are shaped by forces beyond our control. In the face of uncertainty,we have to proceed, trusting both in the process and the end result.
Sometimes,on the days I return home,I go to the spare room to look at the completed model, which brings forth a sense of happiness and comfort. It reminds me that life is built slowly, with mistakes,an element of uncertainty and no instruction book.It shows that consideration, warmth and faith will result in a life well lived.Life itself is not about what we materially create or leave behind, but rather how we lived it.
4.Which can best describe the author's experience of building the model
A.Simple and uninteresting. B.Imaginative and enjoyable.
C.Complicated and rewarding. D.Challenging and discouraging.
第二段的“We faced thousands of tiny white pieces...a thick instruction book.”
5.What does the author learn from assembling the model
A.Life requires to be planned carefully.
B.Life doesn't come with clear guidance.
C.Mistakes in life can always be corrected.
D.Life's uncertainty makes it more exciting.
第四段的“We knew if we followed all the instructions,we would end up with a model that looked exactly like the picture on the box.”
6.How does the author suggest we deal with uncertainty in life
A.By avoiding making any choice.
B.By focusing on instant end results.
C.By seeking instructions from others.
D.By moving forward with confidence.
根据第六段的“In the face of uncertainty,we have to proceed, trusting both in the process and the end result.”
7.What does the completed model mean to the author
A.The value of hard work in life. B.The achievement of life goals.
C.The journey of living one's life. D.The joy of staying with families.
根据最后一段的“It reminds me that life is built slowly, with mistakes,an element of uncertainty and no instruction book...Life itself is not about what we materially create or leave behind, but rather how we lived it.”

(2025·南充一诊)While there are several easy ways to help protect yourself against mosquito-borne diseases, there's another solution that sounds appealing:What if we could just make all the mosquitoes disappear
Plenty of research has revealed food webs of bigger mammals, such as lions and leopards. And for good reason—they're much easier to observe than tiny mosquitoes, which often breed in pools of water.Mosquitoes of all ages and sexes serve as a food source for all kinds of creatures, such as fish, turtles, migratory songbirds, and bats. Moreover, males in many mosquito species eat only nectar (花蜜),making some species major pollinators (传粉者) of plants such as some crops and flowers.
Perhaps more than any other animal, bats are often regarded as being the mosquito's greatest threat.Surely removing all the mosquitoes would affect bats more than most Not so,says Winifred Frick,a bat biologist at the University of California,Santa Cruz. Most bats actually eat whatever they can catch—mosquitoes, beetles,or otherwise.“There aren't any bat species that specialize specifically on mosquitoes,” says Frick. In fact, some mosquito species are most active during the day, meaning bats would have very few opportunities to feed on them at all.
The disappearance of mosquitoes would have massive consequences for global health, however. In all, mosquitoes account for more than 700,000 human deaths each year.Mosquitoes are the primary cause for malaria. But we might not need to wipe out mosquitoes to turn around the situation. In recent years, researchers have made promising breakthroughs in preventing disease spreading by infecting mosquitoes with parasitic (寄生的) bacteria, which can make mosquitoes less harmful to other creatures.
And it's important to remember that not all mosquito species are responsible for the destructive diseases. In fact, many want nothing to do with us.“There are some species that live in wetlands that will feed mainly on frogs and other amphibians,” says Michael Hutchinson,a professor in insect research. There are also mosquito species in which the females are also not known to be bloodsuckers. In fact, some actually hunt other mosquitoes during their early stage.
8.What's the function of the question in the first paragraph
A.To raise doubts about the new appealing way.
B.To arouse further thinking and introduce the topic.
C.To encourage readers to give specific answers.
D.To inform readers of mosquitoes' disappearance.
9.What statement may Frick agree with
A.Bats take mosquitoes as the greatest threat when hunting.
B.Bats need to seek new habitats when mosquitoes are gone.
C.Bats may not be severely impacted without mosquitoes.
D.Bats will face extinction owing to the lack of mosquitoes.
根据第三段中的“Surely removing all the mosquitoes would affect bats more than most? Not so,says Winifred Frick”以及“‘There aren't any bat species that specialize specifically on mosquitoes,’says Frick.”
10.What does the underlined phrase “turn around” mean in paragraph 4
A.Develop rapidly. B.Maintain properly.
C.Reduce greatly. D.Improve gradually.
根据第四段中的“mosquitoes account for more than 700,000 human deaths...primary cause for malaria”可知,蚊子每年都会造成70万人死亡,并且是导致疟疾的主要原因。
11.What can be done to prevent mosquitoes spreading diseases according to the text
A.Infecting other creatures with parasitic bacteria.
B.Hunting mosquitoes which feed mostly on frogs.
C.Applying bacteria to mosquitoes to reduce harm.
D.Killing all mosquitoes responsible for the diseases.
根据第四段中的“researchers...by infecting mosquitoes with parasitic (寄生的) bacteria, which can make mosquitoes less harmful to other creatures”可知,研究人员在预防疾病传播方面取得了重大突破,他们通过让蚊子感染寄生细菌来降低蚊子对其他生物的危害性。故选C。

(2025·沈阳第一次质检)Traditional methods employed for the diagnosis (诊断) of mental-health conditions require that patients engage in direct communication with a doctor. While these methods appear sensible in theory, such assessments can,in practical terms, extend over a period of several months, and furthermore, the diagnoses are ultimately subject to a degree of subjectivity.
It is precisely for this reason that scientists are actively involved in experimental efforts to automate this diagnostic process. For instance, large language models (LLMs) possess the capacity to analyze literally recorded interviews in search of speech patterns and contextual clues indicating psychological disorders.However,text-based AI has its limitations.Cultural distinction, language barriers, and varying levels of fluency in language can impact the results. It has also been demonstrated that LLMs have a tendency to mirror the linguistic discriminations in society. In one study,an LLM failed to diagnose depression in black patients compared with white patients.
Consequently, the novel methods currently under development do not focus on individual words but on the way those words are spoken. An AI model, for example,is intended to detect slight changes in a patient's voice. The researchers assume that individuals with depression may possess distinctive ways of speaking that are not very noticeable for the human to detect.
The system uses “pre-training”,a technique by which the model is initially exposed to vast quantities of general speech,to help it recognize complex speech patterns. These patterns might include variations in rhythm, pitch (音高) variability and voice quality that human can rarely catch. This pre-training acts as a linguistic tuning fork, enabling the system to pick out complex variations in speech that might potentially signal depression, without the necessity of comprehending the words themselves.Subsequently, the researchers adjusted,or “fine-tuned” this general-purpose system specifically for the detection of depression with the aid of recordings of patients with depression. This method was 95% accurate when tasked with categorizing its severity based on one clinical rating extent.
Diagnosis, though valuable,is only the first step.Different people with the same condition often require customized treatments for the symptoms (症状) they find most troubling. The next step for this promising technology seems self-evident—build AI models that can help doctors personalize the treatments they give to patients.
12.What's the challenge text-based AI faces in paragraph 2
A.It cannot deeply analyze speech patterns.
B.It cannot reflect linguistic discriminations.
C.It cannot correctly recognize contextual clues.
D.It cannot avoid influences from linguistic factors.
根据第二段的“However,text-based AI has its limitations.Cultural distinction,language barriers,and varying levels...the linguistic discriminations in society.”
13.Why is there pre-training on vast quantities of general speech
A.To recognize complex word patterns.
B.To pick out variations in symptoms.
C.To identify complicated voice patterns.
D.To understand the words themselves.
根据第四段的“The system uses ‘pre-training’...to help it recognize complex speech patterns.”
14.How will the AI-based technology further develop
A.It will promote its accuracy.
B.It will offer tailored treatments.
C.It will diversify its functions.
D.It will provide a personal diagnosis.
根据最后一段的“The next step for this promising technology seems self-evident...personalize the treatments they give to patients.”
15.What can be the best title for the text
A.Promising AI Treatment
B.Diagnosing Mental Disorders with AI
C.Language Models with AI
D.Applying AI to Mental Health Treatment

(2025·济南质检)Luck can really feel random, and it can be tough to know how to get good luck. Some individuals get in a temporary dilemma where things don't go as planned.Others may be convinced they can't catch a lucky break. 1 It can be consistently attracted through effective strategies.
Maintaining a positive mindset allows you to draw in luck. When you expect good things to happen, you are more likely to take risks that could lead to fortunate outcomes.By embracing this positive attitude, you become stronger in the face of challenges. 2 This allows you to try again after failure and find new opportunities.
3 A wider network leads to more opportunities in your pursuit of fortune.According to psychologist Richard Wiseman, the No.1 predictor of how many lucky breaks a person has is how interconnected they are with others.Additionally, the presence of a supportive community and friendships further enhances your chances of experiencing good fortune.
Many lucky breaks occur as a result of bold (大胆自信的) actions.Even if you're not typically seen as bold, you can still enhance your confidence. For example,if you're feeling unhappy about your career prospects, polish your resume (简历) and apply to job listings that interest you. 4 By welcoming risks, you create opportunities for luck to find you.
Luck favors those who are willing to consider new ideas.Being open to new concepts can help put your good-luck train on a new and faster track. But remember:Stay realistic. It's not just about the mindset but the consequent actions that will be beneficial.____
5
A.These actions help generate ideas.
B.You also bounce back more quickly.
C.Social connections can affect your luck.
D.However, luck is not just a matter of chance.
E.Actually, luck is something you're born with.
F.Making such a move is tough but well worth it.
G.They are vital to turning opportunities into gains.

(2025·太原学业诊断)On a summer vacation morning,I went to a bookstore with my mom.As we stepped through the entrance,a large sign immediately captured my attention. It read,“Books:Open Doors to New Worlds.Discover,Dream,Delight.” These words seemed to dance in the sunlight, leading me to explore all the wonders they promised.
When we made our way between the shelves,I spotted a beautiful book with a cover that was a masterpiece of colors and images.Unconsciously,my hand reached out to trace the outlines of the illustrations.I turned to my mom,my eyes begging for this book, but she shook her head with a sad expression. Our family was going through a tough time financially, and there was no room for such an expensive purchase.Disappointed,I dragged my feet and left.
The next day, unable to resist the temptation,I found myself back at the store.I slipped the book into my bag,my hands trembling with a mix of excitement and guilt.Just as I was about to leave, the store owner noticed me.I froze,my face flushing with shame as I was caught red handed. He stared at me,from whose eyes I could feel the judgement.I wanted to disappear, but there was no escape. With a shaky voice,I admitted stealing the book, and promised to make things right. As I walked out,the sign seemed to scold me.It was a reminder that the world I entered by a wrong path was disheartening.
I walked home slowly, each step filled with fear. When I saw my mom,I burst into tears and told her the truth. She looked disappointed, but there was a glimmer of relief in her eyes that I was honest. She hugged me and said softly,“You made a mistake, but you had the courage to face it.Remember, there are always right ways to get what you want.” I nodded. After a moment of silence,my mom said,“Let's make things right.”

(2025·东北三省四市一模)On June 1st,around 10 a.m.,an unexpected downpour caught us by surprise. The heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds, lasted for about an hour.At that time,my mother and I were chatting with two neighbors at the door of the supermarket when we received a call from my father asking us not to step out of the place until the rain stopped. As it was raining cats and dogs, none of us dared to go out.
A sudden shout made us alert. We were terrified to see a boy about 15 years old lying on the street, fighting for his life.He rolled over on the ground with an electric wire on his body.It turned out that a broken electric wire from the supermarket had fallen on him, causing an electric shock. The narrow street, covered with rainwater, offered little space for a rescue operation.
I quickly called the power board and asked them to cut the main power, and then I dialed the hospital emergency, urging them to arrange an ambulance instantly.I did everything I could.Meanwhile,my mother and the neighbors shouted for help loudly.
A gentleman in his early forties found a long bamboo stick and swiftly wrapped one end with his clothes as insulation (绝缘) material. He then carefully used the stick to remove the electric wire from the boy.As the ground was wet with rain water,it was extremely risky to go near the victim. There was a possibility of getting electrified if one dared to get close to him.
“The boy could be a milkman,” a lady in the crowd said while pointing to the small tins of milk on the floor.“The boy must have suffered a lot”,someone from the crowd said.At that moment,I desperately wished for an immediate power shutdown and for an ambulance to arrive as quickly as possible.I kept praying for him.

Thankfully, the main power was switched off and the ambulance arrived soon. The medical staff rushed to the boy,who was then unconscious but breathing faintly, and carefully examined his condition before lifting him onto a stretcher. The crowd, which had gathered in silence, let out a collective sigh of relief as the ambulance sped away.My mother and I stood there, soaked to the skin, our hearts still racing. The gentleman who had bravely removed the wire wiped his hands on his jacket, his face a mix of exhaustion and relief.“Hopefully,he will make it,” he murmured.
The next morning,I learned about the updates in the morning news on TV.The boy, identified as a local milkman, survived the electric shock and was recovering in the hospital. The news reporter sang the praise of the quick action of the crowd and the bravery of the man.My heart swelled with pride, knowing that our joint efforts had made a difference! That day, amid the chaos and fear,we witnessed the best of humanity—strangers coming together to save a life—proving that even in the darkest storms, hope and humanity can shine through.(共32张PPT)

(2025·南京、盐城调研测试)More than 20 years ago,Yung-Chi Cheng,a Yale professor in drug development for cancer, had a pioneering idea:What if he could unlock the potential of ancient Chinese medicines for treating cancer What if he could design botanical drugs that would make traditional cancer treatments work better No one had done it before.Fellow researchers and experts advised him to change course, because developing botanical drugs was too complicated and too risky. But Cheng didn't let the idea go.
Now,in a landmark moment for cancer research,Cheng and research partners are launching the first international clinical trial for a botanical drug,YIV-906.Shwu-Huey Liu,a postdoctoral researcher in Cheng's Yale lab, spent hours leafing through ancient Chinese texts at Yale's library, seeking the properties of Chinese herbs. She returned with Huang Qin Tang,a 1,800-year-old treatment for stomach illnesses, based on which the team developed a drug and tested it on one thousand mice.
What followed were years of additional testing of the drug's effectiveness for a range of cancers in multiple human studies involving over 200 patients. The positive effects displayed again and again.YIV-906 not only reduced the side effects of radiation treatment, but also led to faster recovery and longer survival rates.
All they need now are larger data sets. When the results of the international trial are available about three years from now,YIV-906 may find itself next in a long line of breakthrough drugs developed from natural products, which includes a malaria (疟疾) treatment developed from the Chinese herb qinghao, the discovery of which led to a Nobel Prize for chemist Tu Youyou.
It has been a long journey, but if Cheng and his team are successful,it could create a new approach for treating cancer,They called the new approach “WE” medicine,a combination of Western medicine and Eastern medicine.“It's a totally new model.I've met with a lot of doubt, but I think the results will speak for themselves,” Cheng said.

(2025·沈阳第一次质检)In a study,152 college students exposed to misinformation read one of two articles intended to give correct and scientifically backed information. Those who read an article that had “just the facts” preserved more misconceptions than those who read an article with a refutation—meaning it specifically pointed out the false claims before presenting the facts.
For this study, researchers first tested what the student participants knew about putting fluoride (氟化物) in water. The students then read two articles:one with false information saying that fluoridation is harmful and the other presenting the scientific ideas that fluoridation is safe and prevents dental disease. The participants all read the same misinformation, but different groups read an article with the correct information either in a traditional “just the facts” style or one that first refuted the misinformation. The study also tested the effects of having the participants read the correct article before,or after, the misinformation.
A post-test revealed that the students still learned under all four conditions — but the group that performed the worst had seen the misinformation followed by a “just the facts” type text. Those who had read the refutation article either before,or after, the misinformation had fewer misconceptions. They also had more positive emotions toward the subject.
With large amounts of information easily available online,it can be hard for many people to sort fact from falsehood. This can cause a problem called “conceptual pollution” — when learning incorrect information gives rise to intervention and confusion in learning the correct information.“Your mind doesn't discriminate contents.Whether it's a correct conception or a misconception,it just absorbs it,” Danielson,a psychology researcher, says.Researchers like him are looking for ways to teach science that break through the noise of misinformation. This study and others prove that a refutation approach is prospective.Researchers also perceive the refutational approach works well for topics from physics and chemistry to highly political ones.

(2025·济南摸底考试)Imagine a child asking a chatbot or voice assistant if Santa Claus is real. How should the AI respond, given that some families would prefer a lie over the truth This is a dilemma in the little-studied area of robots deception (欺骗).
Two Georgia Tech researchers,Kantwon Rogers and Reiden Webber, designed a driving simulation (模拟) experiment to investigate how intentional robot deception affects trust between humans and AI,and whether different types of apologies can help repair that trust.
In the simulation, participants were instructed to drive a “robot-assisted car” to the hospital to save a friend's life, while the AI assistant falsely warned of police ahead, advising participants to stay under the speed limit.Upon reaching the hospital, participants were informed that there were no police, and they received one of five different text-based responses from the robot—three admitting the lie,two offering a simple apology without admission. The study aimed to determine which type of apology was most effective in repairing trust after a robot's lie.
The results of the experiment were surprising.45% of the participants did not speed, because they believed the robot knew more about the situation than they did, revealing an overly trusting attitude toward AI.The results also indicated that while none of the apology types fully recovered trust, the apology with no admission of lying was statistically more effective in repairing trust than other responses.
The researchers' final goal is to create a robot system that can learn when and how to lie or apologize during human-AI interactions. But they acknowledge that this is a complex issue.“We still know very little about AI deception, but we do know that lying is not always bad,and telling the truth isn't always good,”Rogers said.“So how can we make laws that support new ideas without harming them, while also keeping people safe?”

本句使用了use sth to do sth结构,表示“使用某物做某事”,该句中use的宾语是前面的关系代词that,故填to make。
故填was given。

(2025·郑州第一次质检)Eight year old Lily was a curious little girl who loved exploring the world around her.One day,Lily's mother asked her to go to the store to buy some groceries.Excited by the thought of being responsible,Lily happily walked along the streets, her small steps filled with purpose and enthusiasm. The sun was shining, and the air was filled with the scent (香味) of freshly baked bread from the nearby bakery, adding to her excitement.
As Lily walked into the store, she noticed a beautiful container of pink candies on the cashier's desk. The candies were wrapped in sparking wrappers, and they seemed to call out to her.She really wanted to buy them. However, there was one problem—she didn't have enough money to pay.
Then,Lily came up with an idea. She told herself it was just a little white lie and that no one would ever know.It seemed like a simple solution to her dilemma (困境).She quickly put the candies into her shopping bag and paid for the groceries, hoping that her secret would be safe.
That evening,Lily couldn't help but feel regretful in her heart. The excitement of the day had faded, replaced by a heavy feeling of guilt. She knew that what she had done wasn't right. Her conscience (良知) was eating away at her, causing her to lose sleep and feel restless. The candies, once a source of joy,now sat heavily in her stomach,a reminder of her actions.
The next morning,Lily's mother noticed her daughter's troubled expression and asked her what was wrong.Lily hesitated for a moment, the weight of her secret almost too much to bear. But then, the truth poured out of her mouth like a waterfall.
“Mom,I have something to tell you,” Lily said, tears welling up in her eyes.“I took some candies from the store without paying for them.I'm really sorry.” Her voice was small, but the sincerity in her words was clear.
Her mother's face softened, and she pulled Lily into a warm hug.“Lily,I am proud of you for telling me the truth,” her mother said gently.“But it's important to understand that lying, even about something small, can hurt others and ourselves.Let's go back to the store and make things right.”

Shortly,Lily and her mother were at the store.Lily's heart was pounding, but her mother gave her the courage she needed. They approached the cashier desk, and with a trembling voice,Lily explained what she had done and admitted her mistake. The store owner, surprised by the little girl's honesty, smiled kindly and praised her for her integrity. He even gave her a bag of candies as a reward for her bravery and honesty.Lily's face lit up with relief and gratitude as she handed over the money, feeling a heavy weight lift off her shoulders.
From that day on,Lily understood the importance of telling the truth. The experience taught her that honesty, even when it's difficult,is always the best policy. She learned that while mistakes are part of life,it's how we correct them that builds up our character.Lily's mother's support and the store owner's understanding left a lasting impression on her.She promised never to let “a little white lie” cloud her judgment again. The pink candies incident remained a precious memory, and a reminder of the power of the truth and the warmth of a mother's love in guiding her through life's lessons.(共12张PPT)

(2025·南京、盐城调研测试)I had always been cautious around Max.He was the quiet kid in our grade, the one who sat at the back of the classroom with his hood (连衣帽) pulled low over his face.Max rarely spoke to anyone, and when he did,his words were rudely brief and often misunderstood.Rumors (谣言) about him spread like wildfire—some said he got into fights after school;others claimed he had once stolen a teacher's wallet.I didn't know if any of them was true, but I stayed away, just like everyone else.
Then one Friday morning,Max didn't show up to class.A low voice of curiosity spread through the room, and soon enough, theories about his absence started flying.“He got suspended,” whispered a girl next to me.“I heard he struck a guy outside the library.” I wasn't surprised, and nodded in agreement.
Later that day,I found myself at the park, enjoying the first warm day of spring. That's when I saw him—Max—sitting alone on the swing. His usual guarded expression was gone, and replaced by something I hadn't expected:sadness.Against my better judgment,I walked over.
“Hey,” I said awkwardly.
Max looked up,surprised.“What do you want?”
“I...just saw you here and thought I'd say hi.”
He gave me a strange look but said nothing.I was about to walk away when I noticed a wrinkled piece of paper in his hand.“What's that?” I asked.
For a moment,he hesitated.Then,with a shrug,he handed it to me.It was a hospital discharge form,and the name on it wasn't his—it was his younger sister's.I looked at him,confused.
“She's been sick for months,” Max explained, his voice barely heard.“Yesterday was bad.My mom couldn't leave work,so I stayed at the hospital and looked after her all night.”
It hit me then how wrong we had all been about Max.The tough outward appearance, the distance—he wasn't trying to push people away.He was carrying a weight none of us understood.

(2025·合肥第一次教学质检)It was my birthday, and I was celebrating it as I had for years:Watching the annual Perseid meteor shower (流星雨).But this time,as the meteors flashed across the sky,I,a junior girl, began to question,“Could my lifelong love for astronomy be more than a hobby?”
I grew up in a small town, where even graduating from high school was not a given for many students. But I was driven to pursue my education, and like my best friend's dad — a pharmacist (药剂师),one of the few professional role models in my neighborhood, therefore,I chose to major in pharmacy, the science of preparing medicines,at the University of North Carolina.
The university was only a 3.5-hour drive away, but it felt across the universe. In the weeks since I began my pharmacy degree,I had met people with jobs and PhDs in different branches of science I had never considered—neuroscience, archaeology, and even astrophysics.Their passion and knowledge opened my eyes to worlds I had never imagined. As my birthday and the Perseid meteor shower approached,I was faced with a decision:Should I stick to my long-standing plans or take a step into the unknown
Ultimately,a solar eclipse (日食) helped me make my decision. As the Moon gradually shaded the Sun,the world darkened around me.The stillness of the water, the desperate calls of birds, and the fading sunset deeply moved me.I knew what I had to do.I dropped out of pharmacy school to pursue previously unimagined options.
Facing years of challenges and growth,I worked odd jobs before earning a second degree in physics, starting a PhD in astronomy, and realized that the night sky's vastness inspired me to overcome doubts and follow my dreams. As I approach the final year of my PhD,I realize that growing up with the night sky gave me a valuable gift.It gave me an insight into life:On the scale of our vast universe, our individual needs, desires, fears, and insecurities shrink to insignificance, bringing humanity together. It liberated me from allowing earthly worries, shame,or self-doubt to stand in the way of pursuing new dreams.

(2025·重庆一诊)If you could work from any location in the world, where would you go Picture filling in a spreadsheet on a sandy Caribbean Island,or maybe a little rooftop cafe in Rome where you can sip great coffee while editing a social media video.More and more countries are offering digital nomad (游民) visas and therefore the chance to work remotely, from wherever you'd like to.
This trend is growing, with a 2023 report indicating 11% of US workers identifying themselves as digital nomads,a figure projected to rise by over 20 million in five years.Initially, digital nomads were mostly freelancers like social media managers or software developers, but now even traditional professionals like accountants and lawyers are embracing this lifestyle. But what is the life of a digital nomad really like
Rowena Hennigan, who writes for Harvard Business Review,is a digital nomad along with her family. They have a “home base” in Spain but frequently go away for workcations that can last from weeks to months. She says,“compared to a traditional model of raising children, remote working has allowed my family to move away from that kind of intensity, and this way,we all get to move at a more sustainable and healthy pace.” Plus, her family are regularly exposed to new cultures, languages and natural beauty.
However,it doesn't work for everyone.Francesca Specter,a writer for The Guardian, decided to country-hop and her “office” included beaches, cafes and coworking spaces. But along with struggling to find reliable Wi-fi and fighting terrible loneliness, she wrote that she felt envious as she cooled her overheating laptop in the shade while holidaymakers relaxed by the pool. She said,“I was firefighting dull concerns, such as missing luggage or sleep loss after an overnight flight delay.”
So,it's not for everyone, but if you ever feel like escaping the rat-race,why not give it a go

9.Who was probably a digital nomad originally
A.A blogger. B.A lawyer.
C.An athlete. D.An accountant.
根据第二段的“Initially, digital nomads were mostly freelancers like social media managers or software developers”可知,最初数字游民主要是像社交媒体经理或软件开发人员这样的自由职业者。 故选A。
10.What does the word “workcations” in paragraph 3 probably mean
A.Changing jobs frequently.
B.Working while on vacation.
C.Touring in different countries.
D.Taking breaks between jobs.
11.What is the author's attitude towards digital nomads
A.Oppositive. B.Supportive.
C.Dismissive. D.Indifferent.

(2025·广东六校第一次联考)The ban on cigarette advertising in the early 1970s in the United States serves as a fascinating case study in the field of public health campaigns and their unintended consequences.Despite the government's intention to discourage smoking and reduce related health risks, the ban led to an unexpected outcome:an increase in cigarette sales for the major tobacco companies.
The reason for this unexpected outcome can be traced to the principles of game theory, particularly the prisoner's dilemma paradox (悖论).Just as in the prisoner's dilemma, where cooperation leads to the best outcome for both parties, the tobacco companies would benefit collectively if none of them advertised. This action would create fairness in competition, ensuring that no individual company gains an edge by advertising.
However, the dilemma arises when we consider the potential actions of competitors. If one tobacco company decides to ignore the ban and advertise its products,it stands to gain a significant market share and increased sales compared to its non-advertising competitors. This creates a situation where each company faces the urge to advertise, fearing that their competitors may do the same and leave them at a disadvantage.
In the end, most tobacco companies decided to play it safe and invested in advertising, despite the ban,to avoid being left behind in the competitive landscape. This strategic decision reflects the uncertainty and strategic considerations that shape business decisions, even in the face of regulations aimed at public health goals.
This application of game theory provides valuable insight into the complexities of influencing human behavior through policy interventions. While well-intended efforts such as advertising bans may seem straightforward in theory, the realities of strategic decision-making and competitive dynamics often lead to unforeseen outcomes. As such, understanding the complexities of game theory can provide valuable insight for policymakers seeking to design more effective interventions and address complex societal challenges.
12.What is a direct result of the ban in the 1970s
A.Cuts in tax income.
B.Reduction in health risks.
C.Rises in tobacco sales.
D.Cooperation of companies.
根据第一段中的“the ban led to an unexpected outcome:an increase in cigarette sales for the major tobacco companies”可知,禁令导致了一个意外的结果,即主要烟草公司的香烟销量增加。故选C。
13.How can all competitors benefit in the prisoner's dilemma
A.They fully trust each other and follow the regulations.
B.They act independently and pursue their own interests.
C.They increase their market share at the expense of others.
D.They ignore competition and focus on their own strategies.
根据第二段中的“the tobacco companies would benefit collectively if none of them advertised”可知,如果所有烟草公司都不做广告,它们将共同受益。 故选A。
14.Why do most tobacco companies finally choose to advertise
A.To avoid intense competition.
B.To gain a competitive advantage.
C.To shape better business images.
D.To achieve public health goals.
根据第三段中的“This creates a situation where...leave them at a disadvantage.”
15.What can be a suitable title for the text
A.A Good Intention Fails
B.A Cigarette Ban Ends in Smoke
C.A Ban Boosts Public Health
D.A Dilemma Concerns Cigarette Companies
因此,B项“A Cigarette Ban Ends in Smoke”既概括了文章内容,又具有一定的讽刺意味。故选B。

So what can perfectionists do to change their behavior Psychologists point out that giving up on perfection does not necessarily mean less success. 4 A possible alternative to perfectionism is what psychologists call a growth mindset.Unlike those with a fixed mindset, those with a growth mindset believe that they can improve their abilities by learning from their mistakes.
5 To understand self-sympathy,think about how you would respond to a close friend if they made a mistake. It is likely that you will respond with kindness and understanding, knowing that your friend is doing it out of good intentions.
A.Another is to cultivate sympathy for oneself.
B.Psychologists have heated debates over this issue.
C.In the long run, accepting imperfection can actually help.
D.Perfectionism can be beneficial in some situations.
E.High standards are one thing, but perfectionism is another.
F.The key to overcoming perfectionism is to avoid it at all cost.
G.They found high levels of perfectionism often increased depression.

Hey,Isaac! ” Dayna said. There was a touch of awkwardness in her voice.“Feeling ready for this year's baking competition?” Dayna's initiative greetings really surprised me.
“Do I look worried?” I forced a polite smile. To be honest,I had been hoping to fix our relationship but worried about being turned down and making things worse.
Dayna and I used to be best friends. Our shared love for baking brought us together, leading us to join Mrs Cooper's baking classes. We always supported each other during the lessons, which greatly enhanced our baking skills.Last year,I cheered for her to win the championship, but we were in such an embarrassing situation just because of an argument.
“Prepare to be amazed,” I said. She shot me a doubtful look.“We'll see.” Today was the day of this year's competition, whose theme was “cupcakes”.We entered the kitchen at the Students' Baking Club, where we attended baking classes every Saturday.Family and friends filled a makeshift seating area. After explaining the competition consisted of two rounds,Mrs Cooper announced the official start of the competition.Immediately, all the contestants quickly dived into their work.
As I was working on my creations,I couldn't help glancing (瞥见) at Dayna now and then because I was so used to checking on her when baking.Dayna,on the other hand, was completely focused. Her hands were moving skillfully as she measured, mixed, and poured. She didn't seem to be affected by our current relationship at all,or maybe she was just better at hiding it.
Everything went very well.Soon,Mrs Cooper announced that Dayna, two other contestants, and I were advancing to the final round. In this round,I got right into my zone. But I quickly realized I hadn't packed the chocolates that I used for decorating. It was my magic weapon for winning! Sweat rolling down my face,I didn't know what to do.

(2025·济南质检)For Jake, the journey from high school to college had never seemed so challenging. The real world—the campus life he had heard so much about, the decisions on what to study, what career to pursue, and how to find his place—felt like a heavy weight on his chest. He had no clue what his future held.
One afternoon,Jake's mom suggested he spend some time volunteering at the community center.“It might be a good way to take your mind off things,” she said.At first,he resisted.Volunteering didn't sound like the right way to prepare for college. He needed to focus on his future, not wasting time helping others. But eventually,he agreed unwillingly.
When Jake first arrived at the center, the atmosphere felt unfamiliar but warm.It was a small, comfortable space with colorful walls, art supplies, and kids playing in the corner. He was assigned to help with the kids' art class. The first few days were uneventful.Jake just sat back, passing out crayons, organizing the art supplies, and occasionally offering a word of encouragement to the kids.
But one particular day,a girl caught his attention. Her name was Layla, and she was sitting in the corner, quietly staring down at a blank canvas (画布),with her hand wrapped tightly around a paintbrush. Her brush paused above the canvas as if she were waiting for permission to make the first mark.
Jake had no experience with art and didn't know how to guide Layla. But something about her hesitation touched his heart. He walked over to her and asked,“Hey,Layla, what's going on Why aren't you painting?” She looked up at him with large brown eyes, then down at her hand, which was holding the paintbrush tightly but not moving.“I'm not good at it,” she replied.“I don't know how to make it look like what's in my mind.”

Jake sat beside her, smiling.“Hey,it's okay. Not everyone is born an artist.Just let your imagination flow.” He gently took her hand and placed it back on the canvas, encouraging her to make the first stroke.Layla hesitated for a moment but then began to paint, her brushstrokes becoming more confident with each stroke.Slowly, the canvas was transformed into something lively and full of expression.Jake watched as her face lit up and couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and fulfillment.
As Layla's confidence grew,Jake felt a shift within himself. He realized that by helping her face her fears,he was learning to confront his own uncertainties. The weight on his chest seemed to lighten as he saw the impact he could make on someone else's life.Volunteering was not just a way to pass the time but a passion.Jake became aware of what his future held.Sometimes, finding one's place in the world could start with a simple act of kindness and a willingness to help others.(共34张PPT)

Marangu Route
The Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola Route”,is distinguished by its cottage accommodations and is a popular choice for climbers aiming to reach the top of Kilimanjaro.
Providing a more comfortable option compared to camping, these simple cottages offer basic facilities and can be a welcoming sight after a day of challenging hiking.
Machame Route
The Machame Route, often referred to as the “Whiskey Route”,is famous for its splendid landscapes and challenging summit (顶峰) night that tests climbers' determination and tolerance.
The night before the summit push is a laborious test, characterized by sharp, rocky terrain (地形) and freezing temperatures, where climbers rely on their mental strength and physical preparedness to overcome the final barriers to Uhuru Peak.
Lemosho Route
The Lemosho Route offers breathtaking scenic views and owns one of the highest summit success rates among the Kilimanjaro routes, making it a favorite among climbers.
What sets the Lemosho Route apart is its gradual ascent (上升) profile, allowing climbers to accustom themselves effectively and increase their chances of reaching the summit successfully.
Rongai Route
The Rongai Route provides a quiet hiking experience, allowing climbers to adapt gradually while impressing themselves with the untouched wilderness of Kilimanjaro's northern slopes.
Adaptation becomes more manageable due to the route's gentle ascent, allowing climbers to adjust to the increasing height comfortably. The unique advantage of this path is its relatively lower traffic, providing a peaceful experience in harmony with nature's rhythms.

(2025·浙江名校联盟第一次联考)Growing up as a kid in the UK,I was fascinated by insects. When I was five,my dog destroyed an ant nest and trying to make it up to them,I started building houses for ants, using little pieces of wood and leaves.I then moved on to making little cups and saucers from silver foil (箔) for the magical creatures. When seeing my work,my mother told me that the smaller I made things, the bigger my name would become.
As the years went by,my designs became more complicated.Making sculptures isn't actually enjoyable.I sometimes work for 16 hours a day without breaks, and it takes me up to three months to finish a sculpture.I have to hold my breath during the sculpting process.
One time,a fly landed on a Cinderella carriage sculpture I was working on.The fly's wings blew it away, and it was lost.I was heartbroken.Another time,I accidentally breathed in a microscopic Alice from Alice in Wonderland.Alice is now in the Wonderland forever. But it did give me the chance to make an even better one the second time around.
My sculptures have taken me to incredible places. In 2012,I met the Queen, giving her a crown on the head of a pin.In 2013,I received my first Guinness World Record for creating the smallest sculpture by hand,a 24-carat gold motorbike that fitted inside a hair.In 2017,I beat my record with a sculpture of a human fetus (胎儿) that measured 0.078 mm by 0.053 mm.
I was diagnosed with autism (孤独症) as an adult. In school,my teachers had pointed me out as an example of failure; now,I see my autism as a gift. It's pushed me to be the best I can be.I hold workshops in schools for neurodiverse children, sharing my story and helping them create their own miniature figures.
The microscopic world has always been my happy place.I've tried to make bigger sculptures, but small is best for me.We need to appreciate the little things in life.Small things can also be mighty, too.

(2025·南京学情调研)Somewhere in the sky, lightning is forming.Although the possibility of getting struck in your lifetime is roughly 1 in 12,000,a human does provide an attractive target for lightning bolts (闪电).Here's what you should expect if you ever find yourself in the path of lightning.
A lot can happen in the three milliseconds it takes for a lightning bolt to course through your body.Lightning strikes may leave you with deep wounds, often accompanied with third-degree burns.Your clothes might even be torn by the explosive force of the surrounding air being superheated to up to 27,700℃.Blood vessels (血管) exploding from the electric shock and heat often create something called a Lichtenberg figure on your skin. This is a pattern of scars (伤疤) that branches out across your body like a tree.
But it doesn't end there. You might also be faced with a lifetime of neurological (神经系统的) conditions for reasons that scientists still don't fully understand. It's also possible that you will suffer pain.
In some cases, however,a lightning strike can lead to strange super talents. In a blog post,University of Miami neuroscientist Berit Brogaard writes about an incident where a surgeon who was struck by lightning developed an urge to learn to play the piano. He began to compose music he had started hearing in his head since the strike. This type of phenomenon confuses scientists.
One theory that Brogaard says is that cell death caused by being struck by lightning could cause a one-time flooding of the brain with neurotransmitters (神经递质) that are released from the dying neurons (神经元).This causes a rewiring of neurons, providing access to areas of the brain that were previously inaccessible.
Cool as it would be,you shouldn't count on lightning turning you into a genius in one flash. Most of its results are painful, and could stay with you for the rest of your life.

C.Branching scars are typical after lightning attacks.
D.Humans are the most likely target for lightning bolts.
根据第二段的“Blood vessels (血管) exploding from the electric shock and heat often create something called a Lichtenberg figure...branches out across your body like a tree.”
9.What happened to the surgeon after the strike
A.His unexplored brain areas were activated.
B.His brain was left in a fixed state of death.
C.He suffered a lifetime of neurological pain.
D.He recalled hidden memories about music.
故选A。
10.What does the underlined word “This” refer to in paragraph 5
A.The cell death due to lightning strikes.
B.The flooding of brain's neurotransmitters.
C.The rewiring of brain neurons.

(2025·南京、盐城调研测试)Decision fatigue (决策疲劳) is a psychological phenomenon where the quality of decisions declines after a long session of decision-making.It is caused by the limited mental energy we have for making choices each day. While many of us believe we are logical beings capable of weighing every option carefully, decision fatigue shows how our mental resources can be used up over time.
One of the key studies on this phenomenon was conducted in the context of parole hearings(假释听证会).Researchers found that judges were more likely to approve of parole early in the day or after a meal break. As the day progressed and the judges made more decisions, they were increasingly likely to maintain their previous decisions, denying parole simply because it required less mental effort.
Decision fatigue affects not only major life choices but also everyday decisions. For instance, people often report struggling to decide what to eat for dinner after a long day.Similarly, too many choices, such as when people look through streaming platforms or online stores, can leave them feeling confused, leading them to abandon the process entirely or settle for a less satisfying option.
To overcome decision fatigue, some well-known figures have adopted strategies to simplify their daily routines. For example,a celebrity is famous for wearing the same style of gray T-shirts to minimize unnecessary choices.Similarly,Nobel Prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein was known for owning multiple identical suits to avoid wasting energy on deciding what to wear each day.In a different context, author Haruki Murakami has shared that he maintains a strict daily routine, including specific writing hours and exercise,to free up mental capacity for his creative work.
Understanding decision fatigue can help us structure our lives more effectively.Prioritizing important decisions earlier in the day or setting up routines to minimize unnecessary choices are strategies to preserve mental energy.By managing our mental resources wisely,we can make sound decisions and reduce the stress associated with overwhelming choices.

A.Judges are much stricter after long breaks.
B.Decision fatigue can lead to unfair outcomes.
C.Fatigue causes judges to avoid complicated cases.
D.External factors have no impact on decision-making.
根据第二段的“Researchers found that judges were more likely to approve of parole early in the day or after a meal break...because it required less mental effort.”
14.What does the author suggest readers shopping online do
A.Make quick decisions. B.Compare different products.
C.Limit the number of choices. D.Choose the most popular products.
根据第三段的“too many choices, such as when people look through streaming platforms or online stores, can leave them feeling confused, leading them to abandon the process entirely or settle for a less satisfying option”可知,浏览流媒体平台或在线商店时,太多的选择会让人们感到困惑,导致他们完全放弃这个过程,或者勉强接受一个不太令人满意的选择。
15.What is the purpose of adopting routines
A.To reduce the stress of daily work.
B.To increase decision-making quality.
C.To enhance overall life satisfaction.
D.To create more decision-making chances.
根据最后一段的“Prioritizing important decisions earlier in the day or setting up routines...we can make sound decisions”可知,在一天的早些时候优先考虑重要的决策,或者制定常规以尽量减少不必要的选择,这些都是保持精力的决策。

(2025·郑州第一次质检)When parents are on their phones a lot, what will happen to their kids Parents who stare at their screens instead of talking to their kids aren't just modeling poor behavior, but they could be preventing their children's language development,a new study found.
Parents who use screens more have children who use screens more. And those children have a lower talent in grammar and vocabulary. When screens are in use, either by a parent or a child, there is less talking, teaching and reading in households. 1 .
What's more, when kids watch screens with their parents, the study found it doesn't help their language skills. 2 For example, kids ages 24 to 30 months learn new verbs when they are taught through a live interaction or even video chat, but not by watching a video, according to a September 2023 study.
The study suggests parents should try not to spend too much time on devices when they are with their children. 3 Try to spare a few minutes—start with 15 minutes a day if it seems really hard—where your phone is truly out of sight, out of mind.It helps model good practice for your kids.
Parents are also advised to re-evaluate whether they need to be responsive to everything that comes through on their phones in real time.We live in a world where everything seems urgent but usually actually isn't. 4 It's simply not possible.
5 It's never too late to repair.Spend some extra time reading together or in a no-phone zone like the dinner table.By caring about your kid's development and looking into tips like these, you are already doing a great job.
A.We don't actually need our phones all the time.
B.It is an easy way to calm children down or occupy them.
C.Avoid checking your phone instead of hanging out with your friends.
D.And this may be a reason for the lower grammar skills and vocabulary.
E.Try not to put pressure on yourself to respond immediately to everything.
F.Another research also suggests younger children don't learn well from screens.
G.But parents shouldn't overstress if they or their children have spent much time on screens.
5.G 根据空后的“It's never too late to repair.”和“you are already doing a great job”可推测,空处是对家长的安慰。

(2025·湖北重点中学第二次联考)Many concepts that are central to the human experience are abstract, such as relationships, ideas, and time—things we can't directly see or touch. We commonly use concrete language to talk and think about these things, often through metaphors.
Using metaphors is far more than a poetic device of factual statements.A study conducted at Purchase College found that metaphors can frame people's perspectives, thus shaping their reasoning and subsequent actions. For example, describing the effort to stop climate change as a “war” rather than a “race” caused people to feel more urgency about reducing emissions.
Another example is the light bulb metaphor commonly used to describe new ideas, suggesting that new thoughts appear suddenly like a light switch being turned on.However, this metaphor implies that new ideas come effortlessly and are accessible only to a select few geniuses, such as Isaac Newton, who supposedly developed his theory of gravity from a sudden insight about a falling apple. It may lead people to question their capability to generate new ideas, and as a behavioral consequence, people may underestimate the role of hard work and continuous learning in bringing about change.
An alternative way to describe ideas is by comparing new thoughts to seeds that fall on fertile ground and if cared for, will grow and develop over time.Different from the light bulb metaphor, the seed metaphor implies an understanding that generating new ideas is a laborious process, which requires time and effort. It also suggests that anybody can be the cultivator of ideas as long as they put their mind to it.
The subtle effects of metaphors show how powerful language can be,even though we often don't realize it.Who'd have thought a simple use of a light bulb metaphor could profoundly affect how we understand the concept of innovation Given the nature of our metaphorical minds,it is worth asking:Are our metaphors suitable We owe it to ourselves and others to use metaphors appropriately. These choices, conscious or not,can be constructive or destructive.
8.What does the study find about metaphors
A.They help clarify abstract concepts.
B.They may cause some misunderstanding.
C.They make language more poetic and vivid.
D.They can influence people's minds and behavior.
根据第二段“A study...metaphors can frame people's perspectives,thus shaping their reasoning and subsequent actions.”
9.Why is the example of the “light bulb metaphor” quoted in paragraph 3
A.To raise some doubt about metaphors.
B.To highlight improper use of metaphors.
C.To illustrate poetic functions of metaphors.
D.To demonstrate the influence of metaphors.
第二段的“A study...metaphors can frame people's perspectives,thus shaping their reasoning and subsequent actions.” 第三段首句中的“Another example is the light bulb metaphor”表明灯泡隐喻的例子也是为了证明第二段中说明的隐喻的影响,故选D。
10.How does the “seed metaphor” differ from the “light bulb metaphor”?
A.It suggests consistent efforts of individuals.
B.It attaches great significance to natural talent.
C.It arouses people's awareness of their creativity.
D.It simplifies the process of generating new ideas.
根据第三段的“this metaphor implies that new ideas come effortlessly and are accessible only to a select few geniuses”可知,灯泡隐喻暗示新想法来得毫不费力,并且只有少数天才会有;再根据第四段的“Different from the light bulb metaphor, the seed metaphor implies an understanding that generating new ideas is a laborious process, which requires time and effort.”
11.What is the author's attitude towards the use of metaphors

(2025·豫西北联盟第一次质检)Training was cruel,as Penny Lee Dean prepared for what would be a record-setting swim—regardless of sex—across the English Channel in 1978.“Your hands cramp (痉挛),and your legs cramp,”she remembers.
While the cold was bone-chilling,overcoming it has been essential to her success as a record-breaking swimmer. An ability to tolerate extreme cold is one of the advantages that women may have in this sport,as their distribution of fat is helpful for regulating body temperature in cold water.
Dean believes that any upper hand women might have in open-water swimming over long distances is more about mental adaptation and the ability to bear discomfort than about insulation (隔绝).In ultradistance events, the ability to handle more factors, from weather to pain, becomes particularly important.
In fact, women can outperform or perform similarly to men in a range of competitive events. From ultrarunning to shooting sports,in some competitions women have the edge.Cassio Rippel, the ISSF Athletes Committee Chair, says that while men's muscles tend to give them more staying power, women's lower body mass and lower centre of gravity,on average, allow them better balance control. The rifle (步枪) events are the most sex-balanced of the three types of shooting events in the Olympics, according to Rippel.
The century-long history of the Olympics is also a history of the growth of female empowerment. An increasing number of female athletes have broken gender barriers, achieving remarkable success in traditionally male-dominated sports. The Paris Olympics are the first Olympics to have equal numbers of female and male athletes. This is also an opportunity to think carefully about what gaps in inclusion still remain.
While much of the science of sex and performance may be unsettled, one thing that's very clear is that more research needs to involve women. The path toward greater inclusion has not been straight, and more questions than answers remain about the role of sex in athletic performance.
12.What challenge did Dean face when breaking the record
A.The long distance. B.The low temperature.
C.The extra body fat. D.The intense training.
再根据第二段的“While the cold was bone-chilling...as a record-breaking swimmer.”
13.What advantages may women have in long and open-water swimming
A.Strong awareness about keeping warm.
B.Superior flexibility to tough situations.
C.Inborn talent for long distance swimming.
D.Absolute concentration on swimming path.
根据第三段“Dean believes that any upper hand women might have...the ability to handle more factors, from weather to pain, becomes particularly important.”
14.What does the underlined phrase “have the edge” in paragraph 4 mean
A.Appear weaker. B.Seem conservative.
C.Take the lead. D.Show less pressure.
根据第四段的“women can outperform or perform similarly to men in a range of competitive events”可知,在一系列竞技项目中,女性的表现可以超过男性,或者与男性表现相似。再根据画线词下文的“while men's muscles...women's lower body mass and lower centre of gravity,on average, allow them better balance control...in the Olympics”可知,男性的肌肉往往能给他们带来更大的耐力,而女性体重较轻和重心较低能让她们更好地控制平衡。
15.What does the text mainly talk about
A.Women's potential in sports.
B.Sports suitable for women.
C.Views on gender and sports.
D.Females in the Olympics.
故选A。
