One day at noon, Li Bin, a high school student in our school, was having his lunch in the school dining hall when he heard someone screaming from the next table. He looked up and found out that Zhao Yang was choking on some steak, holding his throat, with his face turning red.
Li Bin didn’t waste time, running to Zhao’s table at once. He asked his desperate friends to stop patting. Instead, he first helped Zhao to his feet and then stood behind Zhao doing the Heimlich manoeuvre. Immediately the food was forced out and Zhao Yang began to breathe again. Seeing Zhao return to normal and making sure he was OK, Li Bin, as well as the fellow friends breathed a sigh of relief, smiling.
At last, they suggested Zhao Yang eat more slowly.
