The nursing home in our neighbourhood is looking for more volunteers. They don’t have enough workers or money to support the elderly’s needs.
Visit the nursing home this Saturday.
1) Doing some cleaning.
2) Teaching the elderly to use smartphones.
Understanding the elderly’s way of thinking.
Being patient.
We can learn a lot. The elderly may feel happy and cared for. It will bring warmth and joy to their lives. We will feel happy, too.
The nursing home in our neighbourhood is looking for more volunteers. They don’t have enough workers or money to support the elderly’s needs.
There must be something we can do to help. For example, we can visit the nursing home this Saturday. First, we could help with cleaning. Then, we could teach the elderly to use smartphones.
The work is by no means easy — we need to understand how the elderly think and be very patient with them.
We are sure to learn a lot from these activities, and the elderly may feel happy and cared for. Our small actions can bring warmth and joy to their lives. And we will feel happy, too.
