1教学目标
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, the students are expected to: 1. understand new words, such as grub, beehive etc. in the context.
2. Understand the context about animals by using different reading skills, such as skimming, scanning, jigsaw reading, inferring etc.
3. Summarize the context and develop their critical thinking.
2学情分析
学生对于“动物”这一阅读材料很感兴趣。其中大部分字词对于我班学生而言易于掌握。学生在此课前已经具备部分阅读技巧,但是是零散的,根据文本特点,本课重点训练学生猜词能力,逻辑思维与归纳总结的能力。逻辑思维和归纳对于7年级的学生而言,要求比较高,所以需要教师为学生搭建脚手架。总体而言,我班大部分学生对英语感兴趣,能够积极参与到英语学习中,进行书面和口语练习,也喜欢阅读英语相关材料。

Skim the text and find out in which paragraph the animals are.

Scan the text and find the specific information about animals in the context.
