In southern Asia, the Himalayas, the world’s highest mountain range, stand between China and India, with Mount Qomolangma being the highest peak on Earth, drawing countless climbers every year.
Asia is also a leader in technology and economic development today. Many Asian countries have made great progress in IT, industry and agriculture over the past few decades, with modern technology changing people’s life greatly. The population of Asia is still growing, but with the development of science and technology, people’s living standards are improving day by day. The different countries in Asia are working together more closely now, sharing their culture and technology to build a better and more connected future for the whole continent.

Yuri Gagarin, a Russian astronaut, is one of the greatest people in the history of space exploration. He
was born in a small village in Russia in 1934. As a child, he was very interested in flying and always dreamed of becoming a pilot, often watching planes fly across the sky and asking about flying knowledge. When he grew up, he joined the Soviet Air Force and trained hard to become a fighter pilot. He was hard-working and excellent at flying, and his good skills and calm character soon made him be chosen to join the Soviet space program in 1960.
On April 12, 1961, Gagarin made history by becoming the first human to travel into outer space. He flew in the spacecraft Vostok 1, which circled the Earth once at a speed of about 27,000 kilometers per hour in about 108 minutes. During the flight, the spacecraft once spun out of control for a short time because of a small technical problem, but Gagarin kept calm and strictly followed the ground control’s orders to deal with it. When he returned to the Earth safely by parachute, the whole world was excited about his success, and he became a star overnight in every corner of the world. His flight proved that humans could travel in space, and it opened a new age of space exploration for mankind.
After his great achievement, Gagarin became a national hero in Russia and was loved by people all over the world. He continued to work for the space program, giving speeches and encouraging many young people to follow their dreams of exploring the unknown space. Sadly, in 1968, Gagarin died in a plane crash during a regular training flight at the age of 34.
