Learning Objectives
To recognize and pronounce vocabularies related to natural disasters; listen to three short conversations and obtain the type of natural disaster people experienced and the activity they were carrying out at the moment the disaster occurred; sort out and understand the basic structure of the past continuous tense (was/were + doing).
To use the new words and the past continuous tense to talk about what people were doing at that time in the pictures or scenes; do role-plays and group interviews, and ask and answer questions with “What were you doing when... ”;
Practice in dialogues to make your English speaking more accurate and fluent.
To talk about how the people in the listening acted, and think about what we would do if we were in their place to stay safe; use what we’ve learned to tell about a real or made-up experience, and show how much we care about life.
