故填the。
“not only...but also...” 故填but。
“在具体某一天的晚上”用介词“on”,“on the evening of April 4, 1968”表示“1968年4月4日晚上”,符合介词使用规则。故填on。
“when they heard the news”是过去的时间点,主句描述的是在这个过去时间点正在进行的动作,应用过去进行时,其结构为“was/were + 现在分词”。主语“they”是复数,be动词用“were”,“do”的现在分词是“doing”,故填were doing。
56.Because her parents went on a trip to Shanghai. 57.No, she didn’t. 58.They should learn some basic life skills. 59. 60.It’s very important for then to learn to be independent. / Learning to be independent is quite important for them.
56.根据文章第二段“One day her parents went on a trip to Shanghai, so she had to stay at home alone.” Because her parents went on a trip to Shanghai。
57.根据文章第二段“At last she could only go to a restaurant to eat.” No, she didn’t.
58.根据文章第三段“So I think teenagers should learn some basic life skills such as tidying up their rooms, dressing themselves, cooking some simple dishes and so on.” They should learn some basic life skills。
59.They don’t know how to do“他们不知道如何”;housework“家务”;because“因为”;their parents“他们的父母”;do almost everything“几乎做了所有事”;for them“为他们”;at home“在家”。
60.学会独立:to learn to be independent/Learning to be independent;对于他们:for them; 相当重要:very important /quite important。 可以用“It’s+形容词+for sb.+to do sth.”的固定句型,it 作形式主语,真正主语是“to learn to be independent”,符合英文表达习惯;也可以用动名词短语“Learning to be independent”作主语,“is quite important”作表语,结构清晰。 It’s very important for them to learn to be independent./Learning to be independent is quite important for them。
61.例文:
Dear Tom,
I am sorry to hear that you quarreled with your parents about playing mobile phone games. As your friend, I want to share some advice with you.
First, being lost in games is not good for your studies. Instead, you can use your phone to review notes or watch educational videos. Second, arguing with parents won’t solve problems. Try to communicate with them calmly and explain your feelings.
To reduce stress, you can: (1) take short breaks to relax, like listening to music; (2) make a study plan to manage time better.
I believe you can do well in the exam!
Best wishes to you!
Yours,
John
