When a disaster(灾难) happens, you might find yourself without water, gas or electricity(电). You might even need to leave your home right away. So you are supposed to plan for the bad situations before the disaster comes. Here are some suggestions.
First, have a family meeting. Plan a way to get your family members together if they can’t find each other after the disaster. Choose two places for everyone to go to if it isn’t safe to return home. The first should be near your house. You can go there in an emergency like a fire. The second meeting place should be outside your neighbourhood.
Next, choose a person outside your area who can help your family get in touch with(和……联系) each other. After a disaster, it is often easier to communicate over a long-distance call than a local one. The person can pass messages between your family members.
Then, get a family disaster kit ready. It should include things your family needs, like bread, water and medicine. It can help you survive at least for three days. Put them in a bag so you can carry it if you leave in a hurry. When doing it, remember that different people have different needs and include special things necessary for the elderly or the young members of your family.
Finally, practise your emergency plan and update(更新) it as necessary. You may not be able to stop disasters, but with a little planning you can help yourself and your family survive.

Habits get created in our brains kind of like the way a groove(沟,槽) gets cut into a path.
Suppose you ride your bicycle on a path every day. The repeated pressure of your tires(轮胎) on the path wears a groove into it. In time, it’s hard not to ride in that groove. It takes effort to keep your bicycle out of the groove.
Similarly, a habit is cut into your brain. When you do something the same way repeatedly, or for the same reasons, your brain notices. “Oh, this is what we do when we’re avoiding homework? We pick up the phone? Got it.” You get “into the habit” of doing something.
You may even get pleasant feelings from the habit, at least at first. Your brain says “Ah, fun and relaxation.” or “I feel calmer. I like this!”.
Finally, it can seem as if you just end up doing the habit without stopping. You may not know how to get the rewards(奖赏) you want without it.
▲ One way is just to notice them at first. Think about what rewards they give you. Joy? Activity when you’re bored? What do you get out of a habit, or what does it help you avoid?
Then think about whether you can get the rewards you want in other ways, without the downsides you want. For example, instead of avoiding homework, you might deal with the challenge and feel the reward of getting it done! Notice how great it feels when you don’t have it weighing you down. Next time, remind yourself of that great feeling—of the pride you felt—when you broke your habit.
When a habit attracts you, take a deep breath. Remind yourself of your goal. Tell your brain, “You’ve got this.” Because, with effort, and maybe some help and guidance, you do! You can make your bicycle stay out of the groove. You may even decide to ride down a different path.
( D )27. What happens when we repeatedly do something the same way according to the passage?
A. We get bored easily. B. It becomes less enjoyable.
C. We forget other things. D. It forms a habit in our brain.
( B )28. What effects do habits have on us at first?
A. They quickly become uncontrollable.
B. They provide rewards like fun or relaxation.
C. They help us avoid challenging tasks at once.
D. They change the way our brain works over time.
D
B
( A )29. (创新考法·句子还原)Which of the following sentences can be put into “ ▲ ” in Paragraph 6?

When a disaster(灾难) happens , you might find yourself without water , gas or electricity(电). You might even need to leave your home right away. So you are supposed to plan for the bad situations before the disaster comes. Here are some suggestions.
First , have a family meeting. Plan a way to get your family members together if they can't find each other after the disaster. Habits get created in our brains kind of like the way a groove(沟,槽) gets cut into a path.
Suppose you ride your bicycle on a path every day. The repeated pressure of your tires(轮胎) on the path wears a groove into it. In time , it's hard not to ride in that groove. It takes effort to keep your bicycle out of the groove.
Similarly , a habit is cut into your brain. When you do something the same way repeatedly , or for the same reasons , your brain notices. “Oh , this is what we do when we're avoiding homework? We pick up the phone? Got it." You get “into the habit" of doing something.
You may even get pleasant feelings from the habit , at least at first. Your brain says “Ah , fun and relaxation." or “I feel calmer. I like this!".
Finally , it can seem as if you just end up doing the habit without stopping. You may not know how to get the rewards(奖赏) you want without it.
▲ One way is just to notice them at first. Think about what rewards they give you. Joy? Activity when you're bored? What do you get out of a habit , or what does it help you avoid?
Then think about whether you can get the rewards you want in other ways , without the downsides you want. For example , instead of avoiding homework , you might deal with the challenge and feel the reward of getting it done! Notice how great it feels when you don't have it weighing you down. Next time , remind yourself of that great feeling—of the pride you felt—when you broke your habit.
When a habit attracts you , take a deep breath. Remind yourself of your goal. Tell your brain , “You've got this." Because , with effort , and maybe some help and guidance , you do! You can make your bicycle stay out of the groove. You may even decide to ride down a different path.
