Linking Words & Sentence Patterns (8 mins)
Next, let’s learn the key linking words for the body part—they can make our writing more organized. Who can tell me some words to show “first” (Call students to answer) Yes! Now, choose one linking word from each category and write them down on your paper.
Now, let’s learn three key sentence patterns for giving suggestions—they are the core of our blog’s body. Let’s look at the first one: it is highly recommended that... (Write on the blackboard) It means we strongly advise someone to do sth. Read it together!Second pattern: it is a good idea to do sth.. Third one: you should not do sth.. Easy to remember, right On your paper, there are more sentence patterns for giving advice. You can use them to make sentences too.
Blog outline (10 mins)
Body: Use the linking words and three sentence patterns we just learned. First of all + it is highly recommended that...; In addition + it is a good idea to do... + comparative sentence; Last but not least + you should not do.... Let’s read the body part together slowly, pay attention to the linking words!Now, let’s put all these together and learn the complete structure of our blog post.Introduction: We use ‘When it comes to’ to introduce the topic. We use "I would like to share..." to lead into the next part.

Now it’s your turn to write! I’ll give you 8 minutes to finish your own blog post about online shopping safety. Follow the structure we learned: Introduction (lead in the topic), Body (3 suggestions with linking words and sentence patterns), Ending (conclusion + invite comments).
