An invention may be a new product or a new way of doing things. Inventions come about in many ways. Most of the time, inventions happen because someone works to solve a problem. Did you know that some of the most useful things we use every day were actually invented by accident Accidental inventions have changed our world in surprising ways. Let's take a look at three of these inventions!
In 1928, British scientist Alexander Fleming returned from holiday, and noticed something different about one of the dishes in his experiment. The dish was full of one group of small living things, except for(除了) one area. This led to the invention of penicillin(盘尼西林) , one of the most helpful medicines to this day.
In 1866, an American named John Pemberton was trying to create a painkiller. He added soda (苏打) water to his medicine by chance. After tasting it, he decided to make advertisements for this drink as a soft drink instead of medicine, naming it “Coca-Cola”.
Working at Raytheon Company during the 1940s, Percy Le Baron Spence r noticed his chocolate in his pocket got soft from the machine's radiation(辐射). After testing the effects with other food, Spence r realized that this effect could be used to cook food, so the microwave (微波炉) was born.

Without inventions, we can't have a happy life. So since Iwas young, I' ve dreamed of inventing something that can help to improve the environment. Several days ago, I came up with a good idea for my invention. It's a special box which is used for holding waste. It can move and speak different languages. As soon as people throw away waste on the ground, it will be cleaned up by the box at once. At the same time, the box will tell people not to do that again. Of course, my box won't cost too much.
