1.beef and carrot dumplings.
beef和carrot在此是名词作定语,修饰dumplings。
当一个名词在另一个名词前充当定语时,起修饰作用的名词通常用单数形式。

拓展:① 如果 man 和woman作定语修饰另一个名词,当变复数时,man和 woman及其修饰的名词都要变成复数。

2. Would you like to eat Chinese food or Western food?
你想吃中餐还是西餐?
ould like用来表达意愿,意为“想要、愿意”,与want意思相接近,但比want语气委婉、客气。其后可接名词、代词宾格或动词不定式。其中,would是情态动词,常可缩写为’d,
即’d like 。
1)Would you like some…?你想要一些……吗?用于征求对方的意见,肯定回答用“Yes,please.”,否定回答用“No,thanks.”
注意:在该句型中要用some而不用any,以表示说话人希望得到肯定回答
—Would you like some oranges?你想要一些橘子吗?
—Yes,please./No,thanks. 是的,我想要。/不,谢谢。
2)Would you like to do…?你愿意去做……吗?用于向对方有礼貌地提出建议或发出邀请。注意:like可用love替换

What do/does sb have for +某餐 某人某餐吃什么
回答时常用“Sb have/has... ( for breakfast/ lunch/dinner).”或直接回答吃喝的食物。介词for与一日三餐名称搭配使用时,表示“当作”。
例如: -你午饭经常吃什么
-午饭我经常吃一些鸡肉和蔬菜。/一些鸡肉和蔬菜。
