教学目标
通过本板块的学习,学生能够: 1. 借助音频,获取更多中外不同书籍的类型、书名、内容、作者及其作品的问世过程等信息,丰富学生对好读物的认知,理解一本好读物从创作到问世的艰辛。 2. 阅读并获取说明文中作家在作品问世之后所面临的主要问题及应对措施等关键信息,自觉阅读正版书籍,树立版权保护意识。 3. 在同伴对话活动中运用相关表达谈论在图书馆借书的注意事项,养成良好的图书馆借阅习惯。
教学内容
教学重点: 1. 通过读和听获取更多关于中外好读物的认知,并了解保护版权面临的问题与措施。 通过说获得图书馆借阅注意事项的相关知识及谈论如何借阅自己喜欢的书。 教学难点: 在模拟语境中,学生能综合运用目标语言谈论图书馆借阅注意事项和自己喜欢的书。
教学过程
Step 1. Listening 1. Have students read the rubrics in Part A1 on page 57 and answer the following questions: (1) What are the students talking about (2) What books have you read recently 2. Have students read the table in Part A1 on page 57 and answer the questions: (1) What information can we get from the table (2) Do you know the Chinese names of the five books 3. Have students predict the answers to Part A1 and try to do the matching. 4. Have students listen to the recording and finish Part A1. 5. Have students read the rubrics in Part A2 on page 57 and answer the following questions: (1) What does Millie plan to read (2) How many books in the Harry Potter series have you ever read What type of book are they 6. Have students read Millie’s notes in Part A2 on page 57 and answer the following question: What information can we get from the two notes 7. Have students predict the answers to Part A2 and answer the question: In which blanks might the missing information be numbers Pay extra attention to these blanks when listening to the recording. 8. Have students listen to the recording and finish Part A2 on page 57. 9. Have students read the rubrics in Part A3 on page 58 and finish Part A3. Step 2. Reading 1. Have students read the rubrics and the title in Part B on page 58 and answer the following questions: (1) What is the article about (2) What is title of the article (3) What is a pirated book 2. Have students read the article about copyright protection and answer the two questions in Part B. Step 3. Speaking 1. Have students answer the following questions. (1) Where do you often borrow books from (2) If you want to borrow a book, what should you pay attention to 2. Have students listen to Millie and Mrs Li’s conversation in Part C on page 59 and answer the following questions: (1) What book is Millie going to borrow (2) Where can Millie find the book (3) How many books can Millie borrow at a time (4) How long can Millie keep the books 3. Have students listen to the recording of the conversation and read along, and then read aloud in different roles. 4. Have students work in pairs and talk about borrowing books from a library using the conversation in Part C on page 59 as a model. Step 4. Homework Compulsory homework: Watch one film of the Harry Potter series and share the plot with your friend. Optional homework: Make a mind-map of the plot.
