教材内容:
本单元的标题为Unit 7 Will people have robots?第一课时Section A(1a-2d),主要围绕“Talk about the future life谈论未来的生活”这一主题展开各种教学活动,并以这一主题引出一般将来时的肯定句,一般疑问句,否定句以及特殊疑问句等语言功能。本课时安排了许多贴近学生生活的活动,如谈论自己10年后的生活,假想100年后人们的生活,和人们生活环境的变化,通过这些活动,学生加强对目标语 言的理解,着重培养学生的口语交际的能力,在进行了大量的语言输入之后,通过多次的听力练习,着重培养学生听录音,做出相应的听力活动。活动和练习的形式灵活多样,既有客观性的口语训练,又有开放性的练习形式,从多角度对学生的语言技能进行训练;同时,进行相应的写作练习。本单元旨在创造一个轻松、愉快的学习、交流环境,通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用这些知识的能力。并让学生能在“做中学”(learning by doing),通过有限的课堂实践活动,拓展以往的经历,能准确地用英语来表达。
2. 教材的地位及作用:
本单元围绕谈论未来的生活,学习使用一般将来时态。通过让学生们对自己理想生活(dream life)的描述,反复运用句型There will be more /less/ fewer…. 来激发他们使用本单元所学单词的兴趣。在上一个单元中已经学习过be going to的用法。所以这部分内容具有承上启下的作用。本单元是对一般将来时态的延伸。教材中提供的所有活动都以一般将来时时态为中心,通过一系列的听、说、读、写的训练,来加深对一般将来时时态的理解;本课时素材的中心话题是:在将来,人们的生活会怎么样(工作,居住的地方,生活质量,环境污染)。通过学生的阅读及写作,从而近一步提高学生学习英语的兴趣;同时,提高学生运用所学语言的综合能力。

Teaching goals:

Teaching procedures:
Step 1 展示目标,导入新课。
通过对目标的展示,让学生了解本单元谈论的话题和主要的语法知识,为下面新句型的学习埋下伏笔。
Step2 Memory game 记忆力游戏
展示八张图片,要求学生在10秒钟内记住图片的内容,看谁记住的多。用游戏的方式进行单词教学,激发学生的兴趣。
Step3 句型教学
1、师生互动,通过谈论八张图片中的事物教学句型People will…., We will /won’t…. There will be….如第一张图片中的robot,进行如下对话:
T:Do you want a robot?
Ss: Yes, we do.
T:What can a robot do?
S1:It can help us do housework and it can help us with homework.
S2:It can do something dangerous.
T:Do you have a robot now?
Ss: No.
T:But will people have robots in their homes in the future?
Ss: Yes, we think so.
2、学生谈论其他图片,对图片中的事物进行预测,练习本课句型。
3、熟悉1a中的预测,并对其展开讨论,使用句型:I agree that….,I disagree that…
Step 4 听力训练
引导学生先熟悉1b, 2a, 2b部分的内容再进行听力答题,这样有助于学生提高做题的准确率及提高学习的自信心。
Step 5 阅读训练
学生朗读对话内容,并回答问题。问题的设计中涉及到重点短语,在学生找答案的同时,对重点短语进行讲解。
Step 6 Pairwork
对话内容涉及到拯救地球,小组合作讨论如何保护地球。这一话题学生比较感兴趣,通过小组交流能获得更多的信息。
结对编对话,让学生尽可能多的表达自己对将来的预测,给学生发展的最大空间,让学生在熟练掌握新知的情况下,练习综合运用语言的能力。

根据所编对话内容,用所学句型写一篇自己对未来的预测。
