教学目标
通过本板块的学习,学生能够: 1. 综合运用话题词汇和语篇结构知识与表达,撰写一篇阅读日志,介绍自己所读过的一本好书,进一步分享读书心得,内容涵盖书名、作者信息、书籍类型、阅读时长、主要人物、内容概述及读后感等; 2. 基于明确的评价标准在自评和互评的过程中优化习作,从中思考阅读不同类型的书籍给我们的生活带来的积极意义。
教学内容
教学重点: 学习Amy的《汤姆索亚历险记》阅读日记,梳理话题词汇和语篇结构知识与表达。
2. 综合运用话题词汇和语篇结构知识与表达,撰写一篇阅读日志,介绍自己所读过的一本好书。 教学难点: 用书面语从多个维度介绍自己读过的书; 将阅读经验与现实生活相联系,准确表达个人感受,清晰记录阅读轨迹,展示阅读成果。
教学过程
Step 1. Pre-writing 1. Have students answer the following questions. (1) What is a reading journal (2) If you want to write a reading journal, what should it include (3) Why would you use a reading journal 2. Have students answer the questions in Part D1 on page 59: a questionnaire. (1) What is the name of the book (2) Who wrote it
(3) What type of book is it
(4) What is the book mainly about
(5) Who are the main characters, if any
(6) What is the most interesting part Why
(7) What do you think of this book 3. Have students read Amy’s reading journal about The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in Part D2 on page 60 and tick what is included in it. 4. Have students read Amy’s reading journal and match the lines with their content.
5. Have students find useful expressions in “Summary” and “My opinion” in Part D2 and come up with more.
6. Have students think about what else can be included in a reading journal.
Step 2: Writing
Have students write a reading journal based on the information in Part D1 on page 59. They can refer to Part D2 and “Useful expressions” on page 60 for ideas about structure, content and expressions. Step 3: Post-writing Have students check their writing after they finish and exchange drafts with their partners for review. Then have students revise their reading journals. 2. Have students share their reading journals in class, evaluate which one is the best and learn from each other.

Step 4. Homework Compulsory homework: Write your reading journal based on the information in Part D1 on page 59. Refer to Part D2 and “Useful expressions” on page 60 for ideas about structure, content and expressions. Optional homework: Share your reading journal in class and learn from each other.
