Living in Shanghai with a bamboo bike, you can enjoy so much more than in a car—that’s the lifestyle David Wang, a 37-year-old American, likes to share. He likes making his eco-friendly(环保的) bicycles.
Bamboo is an eco-friendly material. “There are thousands of types of bamboo in China,” Wang said. “It grows very fast and is a very good material for bike frames(框架).”
His idea for bamboo bikes started to take shape(形成) in Beijing. There Wang found more and more people chose to drive cars rather than ride bikes, even if they had one. Wang said, “I was thinking how we can make bikes fun and cool again, and using an eco-friendly material is one way. The other way is teaching young people to make their own bike, because when you make something yourself, it feels quite different.”
So he created a bamboo bike club, named BBB (Bamboo Bicycle Beijing & Beyond) in Beijing and ran it for seven years. It was popular with those who would love to make their own bamboo bike and explore the world on one they had made.
After his second daughter was born, he moved to Shanghai. “I wanted to have a different and better environment for my daughters,” Wang said. “Shanghai is a great city for families, especially for little kids.” If Beijing is where he started the idea of making bamboo bikes, Shanghai is where the idea turned into a real business.
“I just got my business license(营业执照),” Wang said, “and I have found some factories in Anji, Zhejiang province to help me produce bikes in the future.” He has named his studio “Brook & Breeze” after his daughters. “We gave them those names largely because we wanted them to be part of nature. It also gives meaning to what I do, my career, to let people use a natural thing and explore nature.”

A study points out that parents can take some key steps to raise children well. So, the parent-child relationship is very important.
Parents bring warmth to children’s lives. They usually give children many kisses. As a child grows older, he can find warmth in the parent-child relationship in many ways. Warmth can lead children to do very well in all fields.
In fact, parents are children’s examples. They can teach children not to depend on parents or others. They are also very strict with children. That’s to say, children must do as parents tell them. Setting time limits(限定) can help children focus on the work. For example, limiting television time can help them finish homework on time.
From early childhood, the home becomes a school, and the dinner table might become the desk after dinner. Parents will educate their children much if the parent-child relationship is strong. For example, reading books to them will improve their language skills, playing games with them will improve their action skills and finishing puzzles with them will improve their cognitive(认知的) skills.
Moms and Dads play different roles in the growth of children. Moms are their life teachers. They teach children not to be afraid of new environments. They also spend time on simple and funny activities with children. Dads are their amazing teachers. Experts think fathers play an important role in children’s feelings and development. Father-child relationship always helps children learn to express and control their feelings.

Smiling eyes
Researchers have long noticed that a sincere smile starts with our eyes. When we are sincerely happy, the skin around the corners of our eyes crinkles(出现皱纹). People who avoid eye contact during a conversation are often considered as insincere. What does little or no eye contact mean then Anything from shyness to nervousness.
Friendly eyes
When you are carrying on a conversation, looking the speaker straight in the eyes sends a clear message to him: 34 This is why so many public speaking experts advise keeping eye contact with the speaker.
“Shut” eyes
Covering the eyes for a long period of time sends a message that you are trying to block out something that you do not want to hear. For example, a man who is asked to work on the weekend may cover his eyes with his fingers as he answers, “No problem.” 35
A. Shy eyes
B. Empty eyes
C. Such behaviour is seen with liars.
D. You are paying attention to the talk.
