The 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala featured a hugely popular program called Wu BOT. In the show, humanoid robots perform traditional Chinese kung fu alongside young martial artists,
making it one of the most talked-about performances ofthis year’s gala.
The robots are designed and produced by Unitree Technology, a leading Chinese robotics company. These Unitree G1 robots perform difficult movements, including drunken boxing,
nunchaku (双节棍) and parkour (跑酷) . They cooperate on stage with students from Tagou
Martial Arts School, one of China's best-known traditional kung fu schools. With high-precision (高精度) control and stable motion design, the robots move smoothly and work naturally with human performers.
