If you feel stressed at school, what can you do to make yourself happy Some may eat their favorite food or listen to some music. Others may go for a walk or get some exercise. A new study found another great way to lower students’ stress—playing with dogs.
Scientists studied 105 students between the ages of eight and nine. 35 trained dogs and their trainers also took part in the test. The children were divided into 3 groups. The students in the first group spent 20 minutes with a dog and its trainer. They watched the trained dogs perform and even played with them. They did this twice a week for 4 weeks. The second group spent the same amount of time (时长) doing exercise to relax. The last group did neither of these things.
During this time, the scientists recorded the students’ cortisol levels Cortisol is a stress hormone (激素). The more stressed you feel, the more cortisol you will have in your body. What did the scientists find Both the second and third groups showed rises in cortisol levels. The first group, however, showed no big increase. And the children in this group had the lowest cortisol levels right after playing with the dogs.
According to the study, students enjoy playing with dogs, and it helps them become happier. The stress hormone falls over time this way, which is good for students’ health. Last month, our school held a group English speech competition. My class formed a team to take part in it. At first, our team was in trouble.
We chose the topic "The Power of Teamwork". We planned to write the speech together, but no one wanted to take the lead. Li Ming said he was busy with his math exam, and Wang Fang said she was not good at writing. Finally, I had to start the work alone, but I felt very stressed.
Then our English teacher, Miss Zhang, gave us some advice. She told us to divide the work according to our strengths. She said, "Li Ming is good at logic, so he can help organize the ideas. Wang Fang is good at speaking, so she can practice the presentation. And you are good at writing, so you can write the speech." We followed her advice.

26.第一段通过提问“If you feel stressed at school, what can you do to make yourself happy ”引出后文关于降低学生压力的新方法,即与狗玩耍,所以第一段的作用是引出话题。
28.文中提到“Cortisol is a stress hormone (激素). The more stressed you feel, the more cortisol you will have in your body.”
29.最后一段“According to the study, students enjoy playing with dogs, and it helps them become happier. The stress hormone falls over time this way”中“this”指代前文提到的“playing with dogs”。

41.上文“Take class monitors for example.”是对班干部的具体举例,下文“They also work with other class leaders...” 正是班长的核心职责,且与后文“organize activities and deal with many things”形成并列,符合语境。故选C。
42.根据上文“being a good role model can build students’ trust”可知,做好榜样可以建立学生的信任。
43.下文提到“Once they do this, they won’t need to ask a teacher for help,”,并且介绍了如何赢得学生的支持,所以此处是说班长需要赢得学生的支持;选项D“下一步是赢得学生们的支持。”
44.本段小标题是“Be a good communicator.”。上文“Put yourself in your classmates’ shoes and make them feel that you are on their side.”

71.例文
The most important quality of a leader
In my opinion, responsibility is the most important quality a leader should have.
A responsible leader takes charge of the team’s tasks and stands by members when difficulties come. They make careful plans and never give up easily, which keeps the team united and focused. Without responsibility, even a team with good skills may fall apart when facing problems.
A responsible leader guides the team to move forward and helps it reach all goals smoothly. It’s the key to building a strong and successful team.
