Unlock the Secret to Better Notes!
Do you want to take notes faster and get better grades at school Join our Amazing Note-Taking Workshop! We will show you some useful methods.
You want to take notes quickly
The Outline Method suits you. Use numbers or letters to show levels: main topics, subtopics (副标题) and supporting facts. This makes the knowledge more organized, so you can easily tell main ideas from supporting information.
You need to make a comparison
The Charting Method works well. Divide the paper into rows and columns (列) with headings. It allows you to see similarities and differences right away.
You wonder how ideas are connected
The Mapping Method shows connections clearly. Write the main topic in a central circle, and then add related ideas around it to show how ideas connect. It helps your brain remember information like a map.
You're reviewing for tests
The Cornell Method helps recall the information. During class, take notes in the right column. After class, create questions in the left column according to your notes. Before a test, cover the notes, answer the questions, and then check your answers. Finally, write a one-sentence summary (总结) at the bottom. In this way, you can remember the facts and test yourself effectively.

Have you ever come across such a situation At the dinner table, your parents keep telling you to eat more vegetables, but you really want to refuse. Why do many young people dislike eating vegetables even though they have many benefits
Scientists say young people’s taste buds (味蕾) are not ready for the bitter (苦的) taste of some vegetables because their taste buds aren’t fully mature yet. As they grow older, the taste buds also develop, and they might start to enjoy foods like cabbage. Until that happens, most young people prefer sweet taste instead.
This preference for sweetness is actually normal — the prehistoric people felt the same way. They ate plenty of sweet fruit because it was easy to find and rich in energy. They also learned to be careful with bitter plants, which were often dangerous to eat.
Still, tasting is not just the tongue’s (舌头的) job. _ The smell of vegetables tells the brains what is eaten. For example, although the onion tastes sweet, some young people still avoid it because of its strong smell. The only way for them to accept onions is to hold their noses while eating. The feel of food also sends messages to their brains. That’s why they dislike certain foods, like thick or creamy ones, no matter how good these foods taste.
So, if you don’t like those vegetables on your plate, you can say there is science behind it. But your parents might tell you to hold your nose before serving you a big plate of vegetables!
26.How does the writer lead into the topic
A. By listing numbers. B. By showing a research.
C. By describing a situation. D. By answering a question.
