一、Prefix 1: tele-
Meaning(含义)
far away → 远距离的、远程的:通过电话、电视、网络完成,不用面对面
Structure(构词公式)
tele- + 名词 / 动词 → 新单词(远程……)
例:
tele- + shopping → teleshopping
远程购物 / 电视购物 = shopping online/by telephone
tele- + worker → teleworker
远程工作者 = a person who works at home online
tele- + phone → telephone电话 = talk with others far away
tele- + medicine → telemedicine远程医疗

特征:动词后没有宾语,句子意思已经完整
关键词:不及物动词(freeze, happen, run, go)
判断技巧:问 “动词后面能加‘什么’吗?”
eg: My computer freezes. → 不能说freezes what →

eg: I sent an email. → 能说sent what → 不是 S+V

S+V+P Subject + Verb + Predicative 主语 + 系动词 + 表语,表语描述主语状态 / 身份 主系表,“是 / 看起来 / 变得”

特征:谓语是系动词,后面的词描述主语的状态 / 身份
系动词清单:be(am/is/are), look, sound, feel, become, get
判断技巧:把系动词换成be,句子依然通顺
eg: You look good. → You are good.

eg: We are part of a community. → 直接是be → S+V+P

判断技巧:问 “动词 + 谁 / 什么?”,能得到一个答案

判断技巧:
能拆成动词+人+物

→ 拆:sent Kangkang (人) + an email (物)
→ 换:I sent an email to Kangkang. → S+V+O+O

判断技巧:
宾语和补语之间能加be,意思通顺
不能像双宾语那样换成to/for
eg: We found the internet helpful.
→ 加 be:The internet is helpful.
→ 不能说found helpful to the internet → S+V+O+C
6. There + be...: 存现句
Maybe there is something wrong with your computer.

特征:开头是There is/are,表示 “有”
判断技巧:
看到There is/are直接选
主语在be后面
(There are many advantages. → 主语是many advantages)
