Recently, Tencent announced a new feature for WeChat called “Skill”. It allows users to complete tasks more quickly inside the app. Instead of opening several different programs, people can ask WeChat to help with simple jobs such as making plans, finding information, or organizing messages.
According to Tencent, the company hopes the new feature will make daily life easier and save users’ time. For example, students may use it to plan homework, while office workers can manage meetings more conveniently.
However, not everyone is excited about the change. Some users doubt that people may become too dependent on AI tools. They believe that if everything is done by technology, people may stop thinking carefully on their own. Others are worried about privacy because the system may need to collect personal information in order to work better.
Experts say these worries are understandable, but they also point out that every new technology brings both chances and challenges. Years ago, people had similar discussions when online payment and mobile shopping first appeared. Today, both have become part of daily life for millions of people.
Tencent says it will continue improving the feature and make sure users can choose how much information they want to share. For now, “Skill” is still developing, but it has already started a new discussion about how AI may change the way people live and work.

A. Build their own mobile phones.
B. Complete daily tasks more easily.
C. Play online games with strangers.
D. Learn computer programming.
15. Why are some users worried about the new feature
A. It may make phones more expensive.
B. It may stop people from using WeChat.
C. It may cause people to depend too much on AI.

A. To explain that old technologies are more useful.
B. To show that new technologies are often questioned at first.
C. To encourage readers to spend more money online.
D. To compare WeChat with shopping apps.
17. Why does the writer discuss both the good and bad sides of the new feature
A. To show that fewer people are interested in technology now.
B. To explain that new technology often brings different results at the same time.
C. To suggest that large companies should control AI more strictly.
D. To prove that AI causes more trouble than convenience.

Rocket was more than a bicycle to Cory.
It was blue, a little old, and not nearly as fast as he imagined it to be. But when Cory rode it through the streets of Zephyr, with the summer wind rushing past his ears, Rocket made the world feel larger and life full of promise.
On that afternoon, Cory walked into the backyard and stopped so suddenly that even the birds seemed to fall silent. Rocket lay on the ground like a wounded animal. One wheel was bent inward. The chain hung loose(松散地) like a broken necklace. The bike no longer looked like the Rocket Cory knew so well. For a long moment, he stood there without moving.
A strange heaviness rose inside him. It was not only sadness. It was the feeling of losing something important. He walked closer and put his hand on the bike, hoping somehow it could still be fixed. His father came and stood nearby. He did not speak at once.
At last, he said quietly, “Not everything we love is meant to stay unchanged.” Cory wanted to argue. He did not want Rocket back, whole and shining as before. But that evening, while sitting alone on the porch, he began to think of all the roads Rocket had carried him down—the hidden paths in the woods, the lake after rain, the golden streets at sunset.
Slowly, he understood something. Perhaps what mattered was not the bicycle itself, but the boy he had been while riding it—fearless, curious, and certain that summer would never end. Rocket was broken. Childhood, Cory suddenly realized, might not last forever either.
—Adapted from Boy’s Life

Recently, short videos about Li Weiyi and Green have become popular again for the power of “letting go”. This timeless message touches the softest part of people's hearts, reminding us that love is not about owning, but giving freedom.
The story began in 2010. Li Weiyi, a painter from Chengdu, found a dying wolf cub on the grassland. She saved his life and treated him like her own child. However, as Green grew up, his wild nature came out. He howled at night and needed to run. The crowded apartment became a “prison” for him. Li faced a difficult choice, but she knew a zoo was not a home for a wolf.
Li chose the hardest way. She brought Green back to the Ruoergai Grassland. It was a long and dangerous journey. Besides, she patiently taught the city-raised wolf how to hunt for food and survive in harsh weather. Green even had to fight against fierce dogs to become stronger.
In the end, her effort paid off. Green successfully joined a wild wolf pack. He became the first wolf to return to nature with human help. Today, this viral story continues to teach us that true love isn’t about owning someone. Instead, it means giving freedom to those we love.

Small Acts, Big Happiness
Hi, everyone,
I’m Li Hua. Today I’d like to share how small acts bring me big happiness.
Last month I failed my English exam and felt upset. My deskmate noticed my worry and spent three days helping me review key knowledge after class. With her help, I made great progress in the next test. The small kindness warmed my heart deeply.
From this experience, I realize small warm acts can bring great happiness. To get happiness, we can do little helpful things in daily life, such as helping classmates or greeting people warmly. Small kindness creates big happiness around us.
Thanks for listening!
