He has performed in more than 40 countries and has scored numerous prizes, including the 1st prize and four other special prizes at the 1992

as, because, since和for都可以用来为一个动作或情况提供原因,但它们之间是有区别的:1) because引导的从句是句子的最主要部分,它表示直接、真正的原因.因此往往放在主句的后面.另外because是惟一能回答why提出的问题的词。
2) 如果原因已为人们所知,或不如句子的其余部分重要,就用as或since.引导的从句一般放在句子的开头。
3) for是并列连词,连接两个分句. for后面的分句所说的理由,使人觉得是一种补充说明.
