Do exercise4 on page43 .
Before Christmas my sister and I wrote a letter to Father Christmas and then gave them to our mother to post. Our excitement grew each day because there were many exciting things---- Christmas cards, Christmas lights, attending the town carol service, and enough snow to make snowmen and had snowball fights.
On Christmas Eve, the whole family helped to decorate the house and got everything ready. Before we went to bed, we left some food for Father Christmas and put our stockings at the end of our beds. We tried to stay awake in order to see Father Christmas, but the next thing we knew it was Christmas morning.
On Christmas morning, we found our stockings full of all kinds of small presents and sweets. After church, we enjoyed playing with our new presents. Lunch was always late, but it was very rich. A big turkey with all the vegetables followed by Christmas pudding. During lunch time, we sang Christmas carols, laughed at jokes, put on silly paper hats and laughed again.
After lunch, the adults slept on the sofas in front of the Queen’s speech on TV . Also we had tea, with a huge Christmas cake. It didn’t seem possible, however, we carried on eating. At night, as soon as we turned off the bed light, we all fell into a deep, happy sleep.
