Why do we put Proof-reading in our entrance examination?短文改错的命题特点“考试说明”将短文改错列入写作部分， 间接考察考生的英语写作能力，检测考生 对书面语言的监察、校验能力。校检能力是进行书面表达的必备能力。短文改错正是重视检测考生对书面语篇的校验能力的培养。 题 材 特 点 语言材料通常为记叙文，短文为100词左右，其中1行正确，9行需要改正，错误类型包括缺词、多词和错词。
高考考试说明规定：短文改错的错误包括词法、句法、行文逻辑等，命题范围通常从以下几方面考虑：
1.考查学生对词形、词性变化的理解。
2.考查学生对受母语影响易犯错误的纠正能力。
3．考查学生对可能出现的语法、句法、逻辑等错误的校验能力。近四年短文改错设错规律近4年NMET短文改错测试内容解题思路和步骤 1．通读全文 掌握大意 基本把握短文的时态、人称及逻辑关系等。2．先易后难 缩小范围 先将明显的语篇、固定搭配等方面的
错误找出来， 缩小范围，分析难点。 3．仔细阅读 逐行查阅 根据上述几个方面的错误，逐行分析判断。 4．反复诵读 复查验证 通读全文,结合文章意思及行文逻辑验证答案。 短文改错要领: 动词形，名词数，
正确分辨形和副；
非谓语，细辨别，
习惯用法要记住；
正视冠词和代词，
逻辑错误须关注。口诀：一、动词形 主要包括两类错误：动词的时态和语态错误，以及主、谓不一致的错误。例如：We named him Jack and keep him for about three years.
