疑问代词 who, whom, whose, which, what不定代词:不指明代替任何名词或形容 词的代词。         1.形容词性物主代词只能作定语。my teacher, What’s your name? 名词性物主代词可作:主语、宾语、表语、用于双重名词所有格。 Eg: Our classroom is big and theirs is small.〈主语〉 You may use my pen. I’ll use hers→ her pen. 〈宾语〉 This book is hers and that book is mine.〈表语〉 He is a friend of ours.
2.反身代词在句中常作主语的同位语。 She herself opened the door.<主语同位语〉 You may go and ask the teacher himself.〈宾语同位语〉 She can look after herself.〈宾语〉 固定短语:by oneself亲自,for oneself 为自己, help oneself to……请随便,say to oneself自言自语, teach oneself 自学,seat oneself就座 Exercise I ? 1. a few, few, a little和little
? a few 和few修饰或代替可数名词复数,a little和little修饰或代替不可数名词, a few,a little表示“有几个”、“有一些”,含肯定意义;few,little表示“没有什么”,含否定意义。 ? 2. one, it, that和this
one泛指任何人和事物,可以用在形容词和that, this等词后代替上文提到过的可数名词,其复数形式为ones;
it指的是上文提到过或下面将提到的人、事物或情况;
this一般用来指时间和空间上较近的人或物,其复数形式为these;
that常指时间或空间上较远的人或物,其复数形式为those。 3. the others, another, others和the other
? the others表示“(特定范围内)其他的人或物”,是特指;
another指三个或三个以上中的“任何一个”、“再/又/另一个”,修饰单数名词,与复数名词连用时,复数名词前必须有基数词;
others表示泛指“其他的人或物(但不是全部)”;
the other指“两者中的另一个”,常与one连用,构成one...,the other...句型,the other也可作定语修饰复数名词,表示另一方中的“全部中其余的”。 ? 4. everybody, somebody, anybody和nobody
? everybody意为“人人,每个人”,主要用于肯定句中,用于否定句时,表示部分否定,意为“并不是每个人”;
somebody意为“某人”,主要用于肯定句中;
anybody意为“任何人”,用于否定句和疑问句中;
nobody意为“没有人”,含否定意义。 5. either,neither,both和none
? either表示“两者中的任何一个”,可作主语(谓语动词用单数形式)、宾语和定语,作定语时常与不带前置修饰语的单数名词连用;
neither表示“两者都不”,可作主语(谓语动词常用单数形式)、宾语和定语,作定语时常与不带前置修饰语的单数名词连用;
both指“两个人或物”,可作主语(谓语动词用复数形式)、宾语和定语,作定语时,一般只修饰复数名词,所修饰的名词前可以带前置修饰语;
none指“三个或三个以上的人或物‘都不’”,可作主语(谓语动词可用单数形式,也可用复数形式)、宾语和定语,作定语时,既可修饰复数名词又可修饰不可数名词,所修饰的名词前可以带前置修饰语。 ? 6. everything, anything, something和nothing
? everything意为“一切事物”,主要用于肯定句中(用于否定句,表示部分否定);
anything用于否定句和疑问句的意思为“任何事物”,用于肯定句的意思为“无论什么”;
something意为“某些事物”,主要用于肯定句中;
