运动其实是一个很时尚的话题,健康也是每个人所追求的。但因为是第三个课时了,学生可能会对本单元的话题出现一定的审美疲劳,这时候就需要老师添加一点新鲜的血液,使话题更加精彩,更能吸引学生的眼球,同时也达到训练学生听说读写的能力。
教学重点:
(1)词汇:junk food, health, habit, try ,
lifestyle, unhealthy
(2)本单元主要句型:How often do you …?以及如何正确 回答:I go shopping twice a month.
Activity One : smile ? and cry ?Functions : warm-up and naturally review the sentence: How often …?
Ways: ask and answer
Skills: speaking
Steps:
T: Do you like crying ?( a surprising question to attract students’ eyeballs) S1: No , I don’t. (大部分的同学会这么回答。)
T: How about your friend ** ? (切换人物,答案会不一样的。)
S1: He likes crying. He cries when he has no time to play computer games. ( 基础好的同学还会给你添点理由,使课堂更有趣。)
T: How often does he cry ? (问得顺理成章也非常自然)
S1:He cries twice a week. 说明:
这里用了一种很普通的 warm-up的方式,在回答的笑声中调动起的是学生对话题的真正兴趣,而不是停留在课堂表面的热闹。
这个问题可以问多个学生,也许你可以欣赏到不同的精彩。T: Do you like smiling? ( 切换到学生愿意承认的生活状态, 回答就比较多样了。)
S1: Yes, I do.
T: Do you smile every minute? (问话的方式可以根据你对学生的了解随时改变句式。)
S1: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t .
T: How often do you smile? /When do you smile?
S1: Every day.
T: Why do like smiling? / Do you think smiling is good for your health?(回归正题)
说明:
在谈论cry和smile的同时已经把本单元的知识点” How often…? ,always, never , twice a week …” 通过交流的方式复习了。
在这个环节中最需要老师以指挥家的身份出现,学生成为活动的主体。
最后的回归必须要有,回到课文主题 ” How to be healthy”, 在达到异曲同工的同时,紧扣主题。
Activity Two : Sayings about healthT: We should smile every day because it is good for our health. ( 总结)
As a saying goes: A smile will gain you ten years of life.
T: Can you find a Chinese saying for it? ( 让学生翻译不是最终目的,在翻译中体会中西文化的相通以及生活的真谛才是为人师者要追求的。)More sayings:

Early to bed, early to rise ,make a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. 说明:
这一个步骤在起到衔接作用的同时也拓展了学生的知识面,在这些点点面面中让学生领略英语的魅力和活力。
Activity Three: Golden ideas about health.(金点子)Ways: discuss in pairs
Skills : speaking and writing
Step1 :
T: maybe you can write one or two golden ideas about how to keep healthy and tell them to your partner. (让学生写出,讲出自己的金点子,利用有限的课堂培养学生写的能力也非常重要。) Step Two: ( ask and answer)

( 利用学生的资源,再一次训练本文语言重点,同时给学生一个对话的样本,让学生相互间对话,在一问一答中习得语言。)说明:
老师可以通过板书的方式写下学生们的健康建议,用带读的方法巩固记忆。
老师在和同学的对话过程其实也是给学生一个对话参考模式,可以鼓励学生与学生之间完成收集金点子的过程。

听力第一遍可以让学生独立听完整,而在听第二遍的时候可以由老师控制听力的速度,完成2b和解释文本中内容。比如:Bill can’t stand milk. ( tapescript)
So T can ask: What does he think of milk? (拓展听力材料的价值)
Activity Four:生活大参考Step2 : Try to answer these two questions.

1. Who has a healthy lifestyle?
(换一种方式,完成2a部分,老师可以根据学情对问句方式做具体调整。)
2. What can we get if we keep a healthy lifestyle ?
说明:
讨论题有点难度,是听基础上的拓展,同时也为后面的文本学习穿针引线。(Healthy lifestyle helps her get good grades. Good food and exercise help her to study better. ) 给学生时间,他们会想出更多的健康生活的好处。
从单纯的听到听完后讨论,不仅能让学生集中注意力,而且也起到了很好的气氛调节重要。
讨论后的汇报可以应用小组竞赛的形式展开,看哪组的ideas又多又新颖。老师可以通过板书的方式呈现。
Activity Five:看一看,选一选,反一反Skill : Reading

通过这一步可以把文本内容很好的得到诠释。在让学生写出相反的情况的同时已经是让学生理解文本的基础上的创造。
文本中字词的输入还需要老师的讲解,通过生生和师生间的交流完成。

老师设计一份表格,有正分和负分之分,让学生对照自己的habits给自己算算自己的健康分,看看谁是the healthiest. 健 康 表Get up early every day. +1

通过积分的方式,提高学生report的兴趣,同时参考课文把语言真正运用到生活中去,既有趣味性又有实际意义。
健康表其实也是一份语言点表,集中了本单元的语言点和知识点,这样就可以用一种比较灵活有趣的方式解决语法问题。
Task Seven: Homework
Write a short passage about your parent’s habits.
说明:
课堂讨论的内容可以通过这个环节融合到学生的生活中去,用学生的视角来评定周围人的生活方式,同时也培养学生书面表达的能力。
老师一定要认真批改学生的作业,让每个学生感觉到老师对自己的重视,把好的句子,好的ideas 在以后的课堂中呈现更可以培养学生运用英语的兴趣。
备课感受一、两难:听力和长文本的处理难,往往 会形成一种固定的教学模式。
二、两个准备
1. 老师准备的问题要有针对性,让不同层次的学生都能参与,根据学生的能力随时改变提问方式,让全体学生能够感觉到自己是课堂的主体。
2. 在拓展性讨论中要对学生可能的回答作好一定的预见,及时调控课堂,完成预设任务。
