Warming Up 部分通过一个表格向学生展示了不同的食物类型,如:fast energy foods, slow energy foods, body-building foods, foods that give fiber for digestion and health, 向学生介绍了各种食物对人体的作用,然后通过询问学生的个人饮食习惯来引导学生关注平衡膳食。
Which food contains more sugar/fat /fiber/salt--- 然后通过对含量不同的食物的排序,使学生进一步了解哪些食品含糖/脂肪/纤维/蛋白质最多,那些食品最少。
Using Language
Learning tip
Unit 2 Healthy eating
Healthy foods
The foods we eat at meals, or grab from the fidge between commercials, contain tiny chemicals called “nutrients”(营养物质). Our bodies are made up of trillions of(数以百万兆的) tiny cells(细胞) that need small amounts of these nutrients every day to give us energy, and help build and repair our body tissues(组织). These nutrients are grouped into six different categories(种类,类别).
Carbohydrates (碳水化合物) Vitamins(维生素)
Fats (脂肪) Minerals (矿物质)
Proteins (蛋白质) Water
Variety(多样性) is key, but practice makes perfect. So fitting food guide foods into your diet will be as easy as “low-fat” diet. You’d better eat all kinds of foods, even if what you dislike, then you can keep healthy and thinner.
