阅读课 “非洲野生动物保护者”
(Reading A PROTECTOR OF
AFRICAN WILDLIFE ) 二、教材内容分析 人教版高中英语新课标必修4有五个单元,每个单元围绕一个主要话题开展听、说、读、写活动。本单元的话题是“取得成就的女性”,本课时是本单元的第一课时,内容包括热身(Warming up),读前(Pre-reading),阅读(Reading)和理解(Com-prehending)四个部分。其中阅读部分提供了本单元的主要阅读语篇,篇幅最长,载有本单元话题“取得成就的女性”的重要信息,且呈现了本单元的大部分的词汇和主要语法结构,是本单元学习的重点。三、本课时的新课标理念新课标阅读技能测试要点:
1. 理解主旨大意;
2. 寻读具体信息;
3. 理解细节;
4. 根据上下文提供语境推测生词词义,进而加深对文段的理解;
5. 简单的判断和推理;
6. 理解文段的基本逻辑结构;
7. 理解作者的意图和态度;
8. 理解文段的文化信息 本课时我把阅读课文作为整体来处理,运用整体阅读教学法,“任务型”活动和多媒体辅助教学等各种方法组织指导学生理解课文,提高阅读技能,以达到新课标对学生阅读能力的要求。四、教学目标设计 1. 知识与技能:
①掌握快速阅读的方法,使学生了解简与她的同事们在非洲原始森林观察黑猩猩的一个片断,并阐述她从事这项工作的重要性以及她所取得的成就。
②充分利用多媒体技术,培养学生组织语言、运用语言的能力。
2. 过程与方法:
①培养学生筛选局部和整体信息的能力及独立阅读的能力,通过自主学习、协作学习来获取信息和处理信息的能力。
②培养学生的质疑意识,提高学生分析问题和解决问题的能力。
3. 情感价值观:
通过本节课的学习, 唤起学生理解动物、尊重动物和保护动物的意识。通过学习主人公的精神,使学生受到鞭策和鼓舞,培养学生(尤其是女学生)的自信心、事业心和社会责任感,建立正确的性别观和社会观。五. 教学重点、难点教学重点:
①对课文内容的整体把握。

学生组织语言和运用语言的能力。 六. 教学方法 ①演示法:
把制作的课件、图片等显示给学生看,便于学生对微观知识的把握,并从旧知识中获得启迪,从而达到解决问题的目的。
②任务驱动教学法:
将所要学习的新知识隐含在一个或几个问题之中,学生通过对所提的任务进行分析、讨论,并在老师的指导和帮助下找出解决问题的方法,最后通过任务的完成而实现对所学知识的意义建构。 七、学习方法 《高中英语新课程标准》明确指出:“高中英语课程要有利于学生优化英语学习方法,使他们通过观察、体验、探究等积极主动的学习方法,充分发挥自己的学习潜能,形成有效的学习策略,提高自主学习的能力。” 根据《高中英语新课程标准》要求,结合我班学生英语基础与能力较弱的实际,本课时我把阅读课文作为整体处理的同时,把每个教学环节所设计的问题和任务区分出高低不同的层次,由浅入深,循序渐进,使每个教学环节尽量符合多数学生的认知水平,力争全班绝大多数同学都能积极参与课堂活动。通过“任务型”活动培养学生 “跳读”、“寻读”、“定位”、“推理归纳”等阅读方法以及描述、讨论等组织语言、运用语言的能力。八、教学过程设计Step 1.Warming-up and Lead-in (热身与导入)

Warming up and Lead-in“热身”(Warming Up)部分要求学生评论课本列出的六位女性,就她们是否称得上是“伟人”提出自己的观点和理由。该部分呼应了模块一中第五单元Nelson Mandela-a modern hero的“热身”部分。在学习这部分内容时,学生们经过讨论已总结出区分名人与伟人的标准。因此,在教学时,我让学生继续沿用这一标准,并针对本单元具体内容进行讨论。 Warming up1. (l934-- ), Britain Jane Goodall is British . As a young girl, she always wanted to study animals. She went to Africa and studied chimps. Her research showed the connections between chimps and human beings. She works to protect chimps everywhere.Jody Williams
(l950 -- ), USA Jody Williams is an American. She helped found an international campaign to stop the use of landmines. She worked hard to make as many countries as possible agree not to use them. She and her organization were given the Nobel Peace Prize in l997.Joan of Arc
(l412--l43l), France Joan of Arc was born in France, a girl from the countryside who dressed as a man and went to fight for the French and to drive the English out of France. She was caught and put to death by the English. Lin Qiaozhi
(l90l--l983), China Lin Qiaozhi was a Chinese, a doctor who became a specialist in women's illnesses. She devoted all her life to medical work for Chinese women and children. Her work encouraged many other women to become doctors.2. 略读就是以尽可能快的速度进行阅读。其目的是让学生快速浏览文章,归纳文章或各段落主题和大意。这个教学环节我设计了两个任务活动:
Task1 (任务1)通过浏览文章题目和文章首段及 倒数第二段找出文章主题。
Task2 (任务2)通过浏览整篇课文
找出每段或每个部分的大意。

(a short summary to her)2.Scanning for details (寻读) 寻读是快速阅读的另外一种方式,它要求教师设计好需要查找的信息和具体的事实。形式可以采用回答问题、正误判断、单项选择、关键词填空等。然后让学生带着问题去快速浏览,从材料中迅速找到这些特定的信息和具体的事实。结合本篇文章,我给学生设计了六个正误判断题,来训练学生快速获取信息的能力。我要求学生独立阅读,寻找这些问题的答案。然后找同学回答问题,核对答案。通过略读学生初步掌握文章整体后,学生再进行寻读,捕捉具体信息细节,加深对文章的理解。 The chimps show love in their family by feeding or touching each other. Reading for comprehension 阅读理解能力的素质主要体现在两个方面:一是快速阅读,二是准确理解。两者缺一不可。因此,教师应该设计一些帮助学生深刻把握课文要旨(message)的问题。该步骤问题设计我套用了高考对阅读理解的考查方式:正确项和干扰项都不是课文中的原句,但都与课文信息有密切的联系,都能够迫使学生回到课文信息本身,进行分析、归纳、推理、猜测、比较等高级思维活动,即,学生必须非常准确地理解所有的信息才能做出正确的选择。Comprehending:1. D live in the forest as men canStep 4 Consolidation 学生通过阅读获得了信息的输入,而运用所输入的信息来完成某项语言任务是巩固其阅读效果,内化其学习内容,转化其学习能力的必要途径。课堂讨论和复述课文是训练学生运用所输入的信息进行信息加工和信息输出的一个重要环节,采用适当的方法对学生进行复述课文的训练,既能帮助学生深入理解课文,掌握课文的要点,又能提高学生的口头表达能力,同时为提高学生英语书写的能力打下基础。这个教学环节我设计了两个任务活动,一个是讨论活动 ,一个是复述课文活动。1.What made her great success?2. 1.本单元主要是学习人物介绍,因此如果能在教学过程中抓住一切时机对人物进行分析,挖掘人物个性特点,以及促使她们成功的因素,将有助于提高学生透过现象看本质的能力.同时也是对相关的英语表达方式的最好复现方式。
2.本课在写作技巧上很有特色,尤其是文章的第一段,作者通过变化多样的手法使非洲森林的一日研究历程生动的展现在读者面前。
