bored :adj. 厌烦的，不感兴趣的
.boring :adj. 乏味的，令人厌烦的： I’m sorry I spoke for solong---
---I hope I didn’t bore you.
e.g. The mice bored a cave underground.
e.g. Don’t be such a bore.e.g. Children easily get bored.e.g. I always think maths is deadly boring.
以—ed 结尾的形容词用来描绘有某种感受的人
e.g. tired,excited,interested,disappointed…以—ing 结尾的形容词用来描绘使人产生某种感受
的人或事物
e.g. tiring,exciting,interesting,disappointed… Do exercise:

be going to表在稍长时间内将要进行的动作，可与
表将来的时间状语连用。when = and just then / and at that timee.g. I was about to go out for a walk ______/

Similarly:

special gloves.The main clause isThe subordinate clause is“helmets ,big boots, and special gloves”
omit the subject “ we ” and the predicate
“had ” , so they are elliptical sentences and
compound sentences.

suits”.
“that covered our
whole body.” It’s an attributive clause.
7. The other two climbed down into the crater
to collect some lava for later study, but this

and watched him.but this being my first experience. 独立主体结构,
在句中作原因状语.
分词(含现在分词和过去分词)作状语,其逻辑主语
与句子的主语相一致.
但在独立主体结构中,分词的逻辑主语与句子的主
语不一致,它有自己的逻辑主语.Do exercise:

and it is also the subject of the subordinate
clause. So the predicate “flows,causes must
give singular forms.
9.It wasn’t very easy to walk in these suits , but

crater and look down into the red boiling center. = To walk in these suits wasn’t very easy.make one’s way: 前往,朝…走去
