Teaching Procedures:
Step I Review words and phrases (the first time)
T: Today we will review what we have learned in unit one. Well, first I will show some beautiful and interesting pictures. They may help you recall some words in this unit.
The teacher showed some pictures.
The students spoke the words out together.
(vase , castle, jewels, wooden furniture, sailor, mirror)
T: Ok, next we will come to some phrases. Please look at them in Chinese, can you tell me them in English

Step II Review the main idea of the reading text
T: After reviewing some words and phrases, now I want to ask you a question: what cultural relic have you learned in this unit
Ss: The Amber Room.
T: Well, can you tell me the history of it or describe what has happened to the Amber Room simply Ok, let’s do a group discussion. So you may exchange your information about the Amber Room with your group mates and organize your description about the Amber room. Later the group-leader should give me a report. I will ask two groups to give me their report. First boys , and then girls, are you clear
After several minutes, the teacher asked two groups to report.
T: Which group does a better job
Step III. Review the language points in detail
T: Please finish the first exercise on the paper.
