课件7张PPT。?近日，记者在大兴南海子麋鹿苑采访时发现，门口的一块牌子很醒目：“走出保护基地，您每拣回一件白色垃圾，就会使这些嗷嗷生灵免遭一次杀机。” ????“从上个世纪80年代末发现第一个因误食塑料袋而死亡的麋鹿，到现在已经有10只左右的鹿因此死亡。”在麋鹿苑工作的郭耕说，随着塑料袋的使用越来越普遍，从上个世纪80年代末开始发现，到1995年是一个高峰期。一次，他们在对麋鹿进行尸体解剖时，发现鹿胃里面的塑料袋最重达4公斤。“这也是我们发现的误食塑料袋最多的一只鹿。” ????那么，这些塑料袋都是哪里来的呢？郭耕分析说，一是部分游客在参观的时候随手扔的；另外就是从外面飘到麋鹿苑的。“好在随着我们不断地宣传，现在直接丢弃塑料袋的情况已经很少了。” Why are bags such a problem for animals ?

Argumentation
is to convince. An argumentative essay tries to make the reader agree with its point of view and support it, to persuade him to change his mind or behaviour, and to approve a policy or a course of action that it proposes.
A typical argumentative essay consists of three parts:
1) an introduction --- identifies the issue to be discussed and explains the importance of such a discussion
2) a body --- presents the evidence
3) a conclusion --- the proposition is reaffirmed if it is stated at the beginning But why are there four paragraphs and what is the purpose of each paragraph ?
The writer presents two points of an argument.

P 1 --- to state his point of view
P 2 --- to present first point of the argument
and provide evidence to support it
P 3 --- to present a second point and
provide evidence to support it
P 4 --- to state his proposition again Fill in the table on Page 67.
First paragraph --- point of view
Cigarette butts and plastic bags are serious environmental problems.
Second paragraph --- first point of the argument
and evidence
Butts are small but are still bad for the environment.
Third paragraph --- second point and evidence
Plastic bags are a danger to the environment.
Fourth paragraph --- point of view
The environment would be less polluted is we cleaned up cigarette butts and plastic bags.

Not to let plastic bags become litter.
It would be better if they used fewer.
