五、后接不定式动词类
口诀 :要求跟不定式的动词 “要想干，同意办，愿意不愿意，决定尽量干。”
a要求，想要，希望(want, wish, hope, expect, intend, mean)
b同意(agree, promise)
c意愿(care, hate, refuse)
d决定，企图(determine, decide, offer, attempt, try, manage)
afford, agree, choose, determine, expect, decide, learn, offer, mange, hope, want, wish, promise, refuse, fail, pretend, happen 等动词，后跟不定式作宾语。

七、后接不定式与v.-ing形式意义不同动词类
remember，try，regret，mean forget，stop，go on，can't help等后接不定式与v.-ing形式作宾语，表达含义不同。见下表：

Reading Interests of Senior Middle School Students
Recently a survey has been done to find out the reading interests of senior middle school students. In this survey, one thousand senior middle school students from ten schools in Hubei Province were interviewed. They were asked which they liked reading most among the four categories of English articles: news, stories, popular science articles and articles about learning methods.
The survey shows that more than half of the students like to read news most. Twenty-six percent of the students say that English stories are their favorite. Only seven percent of the students are most interested in reading articles about learning methods. However, the number of students who enjoy reading popular science articles doubles that of those who prefer reading articles about learning methods.
A recent survey shows that the health of the students in our school has been going from bad to worse in the past three years . The number of nearsighted students has increased from 78.2% in 2002 to 92.5% in 2005 , while that of overweight , from 36% to 52.4%. Nearly 10% more students lack sleep because of more homework to do . Besides , over 15% more students become mentally unhealthy .
To improve students’ health , we call for less homework . Only in this way can students get plenty of sleep and meanwhile prevent them from being nearsighted . Proper diets and exercise should also be paid attention to so that they won’t easily put on weight . With their heavy burdens removed , students can then keep in normal mental health .
