23 Ford's Theatre
A theatre in Washington D.C. has been reopened after it has been out of business for 103 years. It is Ford’s Theatre.
It was closed on April 14, 1865, for a very good reason. Abraham
Lincoln，the sixteenth president of the United States, was shot and killed in the theatre that night．It was closed immediately．
In 1966，the government began repairing the theatre．After two years of work, it reopened，looking the same as it did on the night Lincoln was shot．
Today we can attend Ford's Theatre and see the same play Lincoln was watching when he was shot．Other plays from Lincoln's time are also performed．It is like a step back into history．
福特剧院
