英语复习首先要制订复习计划，强化基础知识的训练；其次，要针对中考题型进行重点训练，掌握解题技巧。
1.听力部分既考查通过听获取信息、分析信息并做出反应的能力，还间接考查口语能力。建议考生每天坚持听说20分钟，保持耳朵对语言的敏感度，考试时能尽快进入状态。
解题技巧①快速读题，有目的地“听”。拿到试卷后应快速读题，对考核信息进行预测，带着问题有目的地“听”，变被动为主动；②平心静气，集中精力。要善于控制情绪，排除恐惧感，静心聆听，不能因为一个词或一句话没听清而影响后面答题；③注重训练，及时反馈。训练要认真，如出错，一定弄清楚错误的根源，及时反馈，提高听力能力。
2.单项选择题目灵活，知识覆盖面广，强调在语境中体现语言的运用和交际。此题干扰性强，考生易出错。
解题技巧①做常识推断题时，要运用相关知识来解答；②逻辑推断题把选项放到题干中，人称或时态都无错，因此要将所给4个选项依次放入题干进行逻辑推理判断，选出答案；③有时要逐一排除。如果所给题干与选项之间迷惑性大，备选答案给人似是而非的感觉时，需对选项逐一选择，把不合题意的逐一排除，选出答案。
3.完形填空既考查对篇章的理解与逻辑推理能力，又考查对基础知识的掌握情况，同时还要求考生有扎实的文化、背景知识和常识性知识。建议训练时要做到“两结合”，即老师推荐文章和学生根据自身情况自选文章相结合；老师的讲和学生的练相结合。要求学生遵循“词不离句，句不离文”的整体理解原则，归纳总结经验，做到触类旁通。

4.阅读理解是英语考试的重中之重，考查学生的语言知识运用、逻辑思维、判断推理及捕捉信息方面的能力，涉及的内容广泛，包括人物传记、政治经济、天文地理、社会文化、科普小品、风土人情、幽默故事及日常生活等。
解题技巧做好“五要”、“五不要”。“五要”是：①要特别注意文章的标题；②要快速浏览全文，掌握主旨和大意；③要抓住文中的重点段、段中的重点句型和句中的关键词；④要尽快浏览课文后的思考题，尽量带着问题读；⑤要把有关WHO，WHAT，WHERE，HOW 和WHY等方面的内容用笔圈画出来。“五不要”是：①不要在默读时发出声音；②不要逐字逐句分析；③不要常回视已读部分；④不要用手或笔指着一个个单词阅读；⑤平时训练时不要一遇到生词就查词典。
5.补全对话是“情景交流”题型的最基本考查方式，考查学生英语的运用和交际能力。
解题技巧①通读对话，明确项目。了解对话的内容和对话情景是哪一类交流项目（打电话、购物、问路、看病等），然后根据信息回忆、归纳该交流项目的常用表达形式和特有的表达形式；②深入对话，逐句推敲。答题时要面向整体内容，若补全部分是答句，则按正常思路，找出正确答案；如是问句，要分析下句答语，运用逆推法求出问句；③复读全文，验证答案。做完后，应将整篇对话再默读，检查用词、拼写、语法、惯用语搭配是否准确。
6.书面表达部分既考查学生的语言基本功，又考查学生综合运用语言的能力。
解题技巧①认真审题，抓住要点。要准确把握信息，并加以分析、整理，明确主题，列出要点，还要注意题目要求的人称、时间、地点、人物等信息，不要急于下笔；②确定体裁，注意格式。中考英语作文的题型有日记、故事、书信、看图写话、通知、便条、对人或物或事的介绍等，动笔前，要弄清楚要求，根据不同体裁写出不同格式的文章；③草拟提纲，理清思路。条理清晰是中考作文得高分的一个条件，有必要拟一份提纲并按逻辑顺序列好，然后围绕顺序进行选词、选句型后再动笔；④语言规范，把握时态。切忌逐词逐句翻译，写出“硬译”汉语式英语句子来。要学会“扬长避短，迂回表达”，尽量用熟悉的正确的表达，多用简单句，慎用长句。千万不要展开联想，随意发挥。尽量少用修饰词，以避免字数过多而扣分，谨记“言多必失”。还要正确使用时态，如是记叙已发生过的事应以过去时为主，通知将要发生的事应以将来时为主，说明的是事实则以现在时为主；⑤巧用连词，行文连贯。要使文章连贯，巧用连词是关键，如and， or， but， because， so， after， be-fore， when， then 等。在简单句的基础上，根据各句之间的关系，适当加上连词，使行文自然流畅；⑥拼写正确，书写规范，卷面整洁。熟悉的单词要写正确。出现拼写错误的原因主要有二：一是心急，二是字迹潦草，难以辨认。书写是否规范，卷面是否整洁直接影响考生的分数。

8． Asking for information or help is a very common and necessary activity, especially when we visit a foreign country, so knowing how to ask for information politely is important.
In English, just like in Chinese, we change the way we speak when talking with different people. The expressions you use might depend on whom you are speaking to or how well you know them. If you said to your teacher, “Where is my book ”, this might sound rude. But if you said , “Excuse me, Mr West. Do you know where my book is ”, your question will sound much more polite.
