1. Greet students.2. duty work.3. check the homework.Self Check 1. This activity provides a comprehensive review of all key vocabulary presented in this unit. 2. This activity helps build vocabulary by providing a spe cific time and place for students to record new words. After students have recorded their new words, ask them to share their lists with other students. This can be done with the whole class or informally, in pairs or small groups. Get students to think of two classmates ------- a boy and a girl.Point to the charts in Activity 3 to make sure that students know what to do. As students fill in the bkanks, move around the class to give the students any writing support if needed. Encourage students to draw a picture of the boy and the girl in the place where a picture should be put.Just for funGet the students to look up “zag zig” in the dictionary. explain it in Chinese or draw a jagged line on the blackboard. Homework: Finish off the workbook. Ask students to check all the words they know. You may wish to have them circle any words that they don't know. Ask students to find out the meanings of any words they don't know. They can do this by reviewing the les son, asking you, asking classmates or using a learner's dic tionary or bilingual dictionary. Ask students to write five new words on page 8. Students fill in the blanks.After the students have finished the charts , invite two students to read the completed sentences.Students practice the sentences individually.Ask all the students to read the conversation. Discuss where the humor comes from.
