Step 1: Warming up
1. Sing songs.
2. Revision.
1.Show some actual things to revise the words,by using the drills,“What’s this in English It’s a/an… .What color is it It’s … .”
Step 2 Presentation
1. Show some actual school things to teach the new words(pencil case,pencil sharpener,dictionary,backpack ,eraser) by using the “What’s this /that in English It’s a/an … . Spell it ,please .”
2. Play the “Quick response”game to consolidate the new words.
3. Fnish the exercise in 1a.
4. Teach the new conversation in this way :
Teacher holds up a pencil and asks“What’s this in English It’s a pencil . This is my pencil .Is this my pencil Yes ,it is .It’s my pencil.”Let Ss repeat the sentences after me.
Then ask one of Ss stand up and show her/his pencil.Teacher says , “Look ,is that my pencil ”.Teacher helps students to answer ,“No,it isn’t.It’s her/his pencil.”Let Ss repeat it.Later, teacher asks the students whose hold the pencil ,“Is this your pencil ”Then help her/his answer,“Yes,it is. It’s my pencil.”
5.Use some Ss things to practice the new drills.
6.Play a guessing game.
Teacher show a box.There are some their owner things in it. Let student to find the things owner by using , “Is this/that your … ”
7.Read the new lesson and practice in pairs,then ask some pair come to Bb to act it out.
