Step One: Warming-up and Revision
1. Greeting
2. A Guessing game
Show a box to the students and let the students guess: “What’s in the box ”. The teacher can say like this: It’s your good friend. It’s not too big. You can put many books and your pencil-box in it. Every day you go to school with it on your back. (A bag). Yes, It’s a bag. And what colour is it Can you guess Is it red Is it black …Do you like it How much is it
Step Two: Presentation
Teacher: I like this bag very much. I buy it from a clothes store. It’s my friend, Betty’s clothes store. They sell many other clothes. What other clothes do they sell They sell….
Show the pictures and present the new words: T-shirt, sweater, shorts, sweater, pants, shoes, socks, black, green, white, red, yellow, blue
Ask the prices of those things.
Step Three: Practice
1. Match the words with the things in the pictures. (1a)
2. Listen and circle the things in the pictures you hear. (1b)
3. Practice the conversations like this: A: How much is this______ B: It is $ __.
A: How much are these____ B: They’re $___.
Then make your own conversations.
Step Four:Ear training
Tell the students: In my friend’s shop, they sell many clothes in many colours. What other things do they sell Do you want to know
1. Listen to the conversations. Circle the things you hear. (2a)
2. How much are they Listen again and write down the price tags.
3. Listen and fill in the blanks.
Step Five: Role play
Tell the students: Mary wants to buy a gift for her mother. She is in the gift shop now. Here is a dialogue between them. Try to fill in the blanks in the conversation.(3a)Then find out :

Step Five: Tasks
1. Choose a task, then work in groups to make a shopping list according to the task.
Task A: Your family has moved to a new house. You want to decorate your own room.
Task B: Help the poor children.
Task C:New term begins. Are you ready Do you want to join the school sports clubs
Please buy the things for new term.
Task D: You’ll go to have a picnic with your friends this Sunday.
