2. Play the tape, let the students listen to the English song and sing it.

Focus attention on the pictures, listen carefully to a recording of
conversations, which items of clothing do the people talk about Play
the recording for the first time. Students only listen. Play the
recording for a second time. Students listen and circle the pictures of
the items of clothing the people are talking about. Correct the
answers.

Ask students to look at the pictures n Activity 2a again. Point out
the price tags on the bottom right. Play the recording twice for the
students to listen and write in the price on the price tags.
Check the answers.

Ask students to name each item of clothing in the pictures in
Activity 2a. Call students’ attention to illustration and the speech
bubbles in Activity 2c. Make a conversation with a student using the
phrase “the blue hat”:
T: How much is the blue hat S: It’s 5 dollars.
Ask students to work in pairs, then ask pairs to come to the front of
the front of the classroom and perform a couple of conversations.

Look at your paper, please do the pair – work. Ask and answer, but
you must use “What color are your shoes How much are your
shoes ” and then fill in the form.

Ask different pairs of students to say the questions and answers.
1. It is used with singular nouns and “are” is used with plural nouns.
2. “It’s” and “They’re” are both short forms. The full forms are “It is” and “They are”.

In this class, we’ve learned the names of five colors and some adjectives. We’ve also practiced asking and answering questions about prices.
Homework
Ask the students to make a survey of different prices of the same kind of clothing in different stores out of class.
