设计思想:
英语新课程标准倡导任务型的教学模式,让学生在教师的指导下,通过感知,体验。实践,参与和合作等方式,实现任务的目标,感受成功。在学习过程中进行情感和策略调整,以形成积极的学习态度,促进语言实际运用能力的提高。这就要求教师能根据学习内容设计相应的活动,让学生在体验中掌握语言知识,学会运用语言,培养各种技能。本课时的中心话题是“急救”,包括急救的重要性,急救的基本常识以及急救的具体步骤(DR ABC)。由于所学内容接近生活,实用性和操作性强,因此在教学过程中创设实际教学情景,布置任务,让学生在理解文章内容的基础上,针对生活中常见的各种紧急情况, 运用所学知识实施紧急救护。 通过实践和参与, 掌握本课时的语言技能,语言知识,培养学生处理紧急事件的应变能力和操作能力,实现英语新课程的教学目标。
教学内容分析:
本课时的中心话题是意外情况下的急救知识。具体涉及关于急救的重要性,急救的基本常识以及急救的具体步骤(DR ABC)。 通过本课时的教学,让学生了解有关急救的常识,能在对文章理解的基础上,用较为流利的英语表达在生活中如何处理一些突发事件,学会在实际情况中实施正确的紧急救护等
教学内容分为四个部分。
1. “读前”(Pre-reading)部分先以四幅图片来导入新课,让学生针对这些图片思考一些问题,你会怎么办 该怎么办
2. “阅读”(Reading)部分是一篇介绍急救的文章,标题是DR ABC, 具体介绍急救的重要性,如何进行急救,急救时注意DR ABC:D代表Danger(危险);R代表response(反应);A代表Airway(呼吸道);B代表Breathing(呼吸);C代表Circulation(血液循环),以及如何进一步急救等一些急救基本常识和步骤,使学生理解急救对病人的重要性及基本的急救知识,以便他们运用于生活实际。
3. “读后”(Post-reading)分三个任务。
Task 1.True or False 加强对文章内容的理解;
Task 2. Describe pictures 加强语言知识的运用;
Task 3.Discussion 巩固所学知识,培养实际操作技能;
4. “活动”(Activity) 部分是开展一个竞赛“A First Aid Quiz”,并给予胜利者奖励,扩充范围,更多的学习急救知识。
教学目标:
根据《普通高中英语新课程标准》(实验稿)关于总目表的定位及其实现途径和目标具体描述,结合高二学生实际和教材内容,我把本课时的教学目标定为:
1.语言知识
1)掌握、理解、运用以下生词及词组:witness、panic、roll over、deal with、keep in mind、manage、manage to等
2)正确复述急救步骤(DR ABC)
2.语言技能:
读:能理解课文内容和课文结构,在阅读中运用scanning, skimming, generalization, inference等具体细节的读写策略和技能。
说:能在对文章理解的基础上,用较为流利的英语表达在生活中如何处理一些突发事件,学会在实际情况中实施正确的紧急救护等
3.学习策略
学生能在一定程度上形成自主学习、有效交际和信息处理英语思维能力。
4.情感策略
让学生了解急救的重要性和常用方法,能准确的运用于实际生活, 增强学生帮助他人,拯救生命的意识;体验用英语交流的成功与喜悦,以及培养合作精神、互助精神。
教学方法:
教师安排学生快读和查读,理解课文含义;通过阅读, 小组讨论,提问,口语练习,复述,实际运用等掌握急救步骤。
教学准备:
制作课件、准备topic cards、预备奖赏(糖果)、录音机
教学过程设计:
Step Ⅰ.Greetings and Revision
Greet the whole class as usual. Teacher checks the students' homework.
Step Ⅱ. Lead in

Scan the text and divide the passage into several parts then find out the main idea for each part.
Part 1(1): the meaning of DR ABC
Part 2(2): something should be done after giving first aid
Part 3(3-4): the importance of staying calm
Part 4(5): the importance of first aid
Part 5(6): giving first aid after checking DR ABC
